Hello! I am NiceGuy98, or you can call me either James, Triple H, or Blue Cat (my main OC is a blue tomcat, so I just decided to use this as a tag for myself lol)! Not much to say about myself aside from the fact that I love to play Super Smash Bros. I've been playing Smash since I was around 3-4 years old. Ever since then, it's been a huge part of my life whenever I'm bored, or if I feel like playing with friends and family!

I've never been in a Smash tournament, not even a local one. This is partially due to me being rather shy about meeting new people and how well I play compared other players. As decent as I am at Smash, I still have doubts about my skills, especially whenever I go online in Ultimate. Another thing about me is that whenever I "rage," I kind of bottle up my anger, staying silent.

Smash Games

Of course, my first smash game was Smash 64! I loved playing it, even with its lack of content. The game kept me occupied for hours upon hours as a kid! My favorite character to play as in that game was Mario and Donkey Kong. As a huge Mario fan, I only played with these two characters, yet not Luigi lol. Sorry Luigi. From about 2001 to 2010, Smash 64 was the only Smash game I ever played. It wasn't until April of 2010 when my dad and older brother came home with Super Smash Bros. Brawl, my second Smash game! As expected, our big bro kicked me and my younger brother's asses when we played Brawl, especially since he picked Meta-Knight (I was completely unaware of tier lists at this point). Two months later, I would get a Nintendo GameCube for the first time, and the game I bought with it was Super Smash Bros. Melee. Immediately I thought this game was better than Brawl, because it's so fast! Even discounting the crazy amount of tech I was unaware of, it was so fast to me.

Six years later, after I came home from the Army, I went up to my local game store and bought a Wii U and Super Smash Bros. For Wii U. This is the first Smash game where I truly played with other people aside from my friends and family. At my college, there was this event called "Game Day," where gamer students would gather in this large seminar room and play on whatever console we wish (if there are any controllers available). Of course, I went over to the Wii U section and started playing some Wii U Smash lol. Didn't take long for me to be the undisputed best Smash player amongst the group I would become fast friends with! I even met my first girlfriend here...2017 was quite a year for me....starting out college, meeting awesome people, and getting a gamer girlfriend lol. There was this one time where me and my younger brother teamed up against 4 other players on a Game Day (I had Bowser, and he had Ganondorf), and we ended up WINNING. It was awesome, yet funny at the same time, I swear XD.

January 2019 was the time I bought Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and at the time, it easily become my favorite Smash game! It was so much fun (well it still is, if I could play it again...)! The online was toxic as hell (for the most part), which kind of drove me away from Ultimate. Recently, I wanted to start up Ultimate and play it, but I think my little nephew took my AC adapter the last time he was over here, so now I can't even play or charge my Switch up...so, all I'm playing currently is my own modified versions of both Melee and Brawl.

Brawl Mods

First ever Brawl mod I played was Project M. It was so much fun to play and it felt good having buffed characters from Melee in Brawl. This mod inspired me to create my own Brawl mod, where I buffed up every character to varying degrees, hoping to get a good balance from somewhat overpowered characters (somewhat similar to Brawl Minus, which is another mod I enjoyed playing).

YouTube Channel

I do have a YouTube channel! But it has nothing to do with Smash (for now, at least). I post my little animations, speedruns, and WWE video game playthroughs (mainly WWE WrestleMania XIX).
