Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome, editors and users, to the Smash Arena! Each week this forum hosts a tussle between two characters from the Super Smash Bros. series! The winner gets, well, nothing. It's more of a poll but functionally, this is a popularity contest. You may vote for your favorite or who you think would win in an competition between the two combatants that round. No, you don't have to vote for the character with strength & power, just vote if you are a total fanboy of the character. So what are you waiting for? Get voting! Remember, you can remain anonymous! If you have any requests for future fights, please feel free to leave a message here.

The Rules

  1. When voting, you can give a brief comment on why you voted the way you did, or you can just leave your signature.
  2. You can only vote once. Any multiple votes will be removed.
  3. Put a # before your vote to facilitate the vote counting.
  4. Type ~~~~ after your vote to sign it, whether you are logged in or not.
  5. There is a line in each section consisting of "DO NOT ADD COMMENTS OR EDIT ANYTHING BELOW THIS LINE". You are to do so; do not just type your vote at the bottom of the editing window. Not following this rule results in your vote being displayed in the wrong place.
  6. Put your vote below other votes; that is, so the votes are in chronological order.
  7. Any comments about the fight should be left in the comment section. It is recommended that you do not post argumentative, accusative, or any sort of comment with the intention of starting an argument with someone on the opposing side. The Smash Arena is a popularity contest, there's no need to argue with the other side on why your choice is superior, or why they are wrong with their reasoning for picking their choice.
  8. You may only vote in the current fight; all previous fights are closed.
  9. Do not leave a space between your comment and the ones above it (and/or below it).
  10. Do not put your vote in the Half-Votes section. It is not where anonymous users vote, nor is it acceptable to want your vote to be worth half. It is basically saying "I want to be punished", and you will be treated accordingly.

If your vote is not added correctly - that is, it breaks rules 3, 4, or 5 - you have one hour to fix it. After this time, it may be moved by any user to the Half-Votes section (adding the unsigned template if necessary), and it will count as half a vote. Attempting to move your vote out of the Half-Votes section may result in it being worth zero at an operator's discretion. In addition, if your votes-to-rulebreaks ratio climbs too high, your votes may count for zero until the ratio drops to an acceptable level.

  2. Mr. Game and Watch is one of my favorite characters and one of my mains. He has great momentum cancel with Oil Panic, Judgment #9, great recovery, and an unpredictable air game. It's a contest between Melee's two secret bosses, both with corrupted movesets full of darkness and other wacko stuff. Brawl definitely gave the lefty the short end of the stick, giving Giga Bowser Final Smash status and leaving Crazy Hand out of the Subspace Emissary. Will this be a battle of revenge?

  14. His Melee incarnation at the end of Adventure mode was easily my favorite Smash Bros. boss, and one of my favorite bosses in any video game. I was heavily disappointed that he didn't return in Brawl in boss form, and the closer thing to him in Brawl was a giant, dull Mario who is more frustrating than fun to fight :/ I have such fond memories of battling Giga Bowser with Ganondorf. Giga Bowser is so much fun to fight, I remember beating him at the end of Adventure Mode with Pichu, how I first beat him in the final event match as Dr. Mario, and how I juggled him across the stage on his last stock as Weegee when I did it without losing a life, KOing him with a fair (I think).   3. Crazy Hand needs Master hand to be anywhere near difficult to kill, and Giga Bowser is annoyingly brutal in Melee, and his event number is 1 higher than the Hands' event, and way harder as well. Well choose what you want to vote.
Technically, Giga Bowser is not an invincible boss, since it his final smash incarnation that has the infinite super armor while his boss form in Melee had none. Also, even in his final smash incarnation, he is not invincible. He still takes damage, and he can even be KO'd outside SDing, if he is hit by any hitstun producing hitbox when above the upper blast line. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 06:56, 23 January 2011 (EST)
