Because instead of Mario being the assigned character and Bowser being the opponent, Bowser is conversely the assigned character and Mario is the opponent.

Super Bowser Bros. (クッパのブラザーズ, Koopa Bros.) is the 6th solo event match out of a total of 41 in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It features Bowser being chased by three Marios on Mushroomy Kingdom at high speed, who additionally have a knockback modifier that makes them receive more knockback than usual, and if KO'd off the top, they will be blast KO'd rather than star or screen KO'd. Bowser must get to the flagpole in the stage's background without being KO'd by the Marios.
