Your edits[edit]

Hi, I appreciate that you're trying to fix some errors of the Smash 4 Trophy pages, but I highly suggest you do all your edits in one go rather than doing them separately, as making small separate edits can clog up the recent changes. Please use Show Preview[edit]

You seem to have a habit of changing a page a little bit and then saving, then doing more with that same page. Please remember to use Show Preview to make sure your edits look okay before saving them, especially if you have a lot to do on that one page - this will help avoid choking the Special:RecentChanges page. CustomSet template[edit]

Just a heads up I added regional arguments to the CustomSet template, that way you don't need to use the clunky explain spans. Just append "-ntsc" and "-pal" (i.e. desc1-ntsc and desc1-pal) and it should work. --CanvasK (talk) 21:26, January 31, 2022 (EST)

Custom move quotes[edit]

I’ve noticed there are a lot of custom move quotes that you have been changing. However, all of these are supposed to reflect what’s actually written on the in-game descriptions. Please verify that what you’re doing is actuall part of what is in game, or otherwise, leave them alone. Black Vulpine the 🦊Furry🐺. Furries make the internets go! :3 15:32, February 19, 2022 (EST)

I can verify for them that the changes are accurate to what is actually used in game, at least for NTSC. Screens of the 4 you undid. --CanvasK (talk) 15:58, February 19, 2022 (EST)

The custom move quotes I've been writing reflect what's written on the in-game descriptions. I own an NTSC Wii U copy of Smash 4. I'm writing what's written in that version of the game under Custom moves. Mr. Kite (talk) 22:54, February 19, 2022 (EST)

Trophy descriptions[edit]

I've noticed you've been going through some of the pages and updating the trophies to include the descriptions from different versions, as well as doing the same on the Mario Wiki. Wanted to give you the heads up that I'm planning on going through the SSB4 series lists soon and making sure that all four versions are properly represented (some trophies have up to four different descriptions between the versions that aren't listed). May want to hold off on the individual pages until then so neither of us have to go back to each one and add more. --CanvasK (talk) 12:55, September 7, 2022 (EDT)

Ok. Thanks for letting me know. Mr. Kite (talk) 14:57, September 7, 2022 (EDT)

In case you wanted an update, the Brawl and Smash 4 trophy lists are all corrected and include all versions. I've also updated {{Trophy}} with the same template arguments as {{TrophyTableRow}}, so you can essentially just copy-paste from one to the other. I'll have to go back to Melee after I realized that if Banzai Bill has revision differences, others might too... and they do after I claimed several were "errors". --CanvasK (talk) 19:22, September 11, 2022 (EDT)
Melee has been taken care of now. Should be free to continue updating pages if you want. --CanvasK (talk) 14:31, September 12, 2022 (EDT)

Ok. Thank you so much. Mr. Kite (talk) 17:35, September 13, 2022 (EDT)

To clarify on my recent reverts where I said "uses this at the byte-level", I loaded each game and region into an emulator and copied the bytes from where the trophy data was. The bytes were then converted to text based on the text encoding. So if a description uses a hyphen instead of an en/em dash like standard, that is preserved. Same for other oddities like double-spaces or single-quotes in place of apostrophes. If the individual pages show something different to the series lists, the individual page is more likely to be wrong. --CanvasK (talk) 16:18, September 20, 2022 (EDT)
