Pac-Man, Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Earthbound and Ice Climber are the only series represented by a fighter to use in-game sprite art for their spirits.
PAC-MAN and Bayonetta (Bayonetta) are the only spirits to use artwork that is neither from their own series nor from the Super Smash Bros. series.
With Final Fantasy gaining new spirits in the version 10.0.0 update with Sephiroth, Pac-Man and Fatal Fury have the fewest spirits out of all of the major third-party franchises.
