The player is given two stocks, while the computer characters are given one stock each.

Unlockables

Upon completion of this event, the player will receive a CD containing the Road to Viridian City (From Pallet Town/Pewter City) track, which plays on Pokémon Stadium 2, despite Team Galactic Battle! playing instead of the aforementioned track in this event.

Trivia

  • Despite the event taking place on Pokémon Stadium, the picture oddly shows the opponents on Pokémon Stadium 2. Also, while Squirtle and Ivysaur use their red and green costumes, respectively, the picture shows their default colors.
  • The respective Pokémon Trainers are absent in this event. As a result, Pokémon Change cannot be used.
  • This event uses the music track Team Galactic Battle!, which usually plays on Spear Pillar, rather than on Pokémon Stadium.
    • Also, due to this event being available from the start, it is possible to play this event before unlocking Spear Pillar (as the song in this event plays the music track Team Galactic Battle!). But like the Melee event Event 48: Pikachu and Pichu, completion of the event does not unlock the unlockable stage despite the unlockable stage being fought on or referenced.
  • This event is also similar to the Melee event Event 7: Pokemon Battle. Because both events take place on the same stage and Pikachu is in both of the events.
