Sleeping in the Eggs is the 12th solo event match out of a total of 41 in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. In this event, the player must play as Yoshi and use Egg Lay on both Kirby and Pikachu, so that both are trapped in eggs simultaneously. Harder difficulties will cause Pikachu and Kirby to break out of the eggs faster, which makes having them both in eggs at the same time harder.

Trivia
- The concept of winning an Event Match by immobilising enemies would later be used in the Smash 4 Event It's Past Your Bedtime!, in which Jigglypuff must put Ness, Toon Link, and Bowser Jr. all to sleep at the same time with its up special Sing.
- Coincidentally, the characters used in these two Events have the fastest air speeds by default.
