Dark Link Duel is the 18th solo event match out of a total of 41 in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. In this match, Link must face-off against Dark Link on the Bridge of Eldin stage (with King Bulblin removed). The event is very similar to the Link's Adventure event match in Super Smash Bros. Melee; however, rather than using the standard percentage-based damage meter, the battle is fought using stamina.

Unlockables

Clearing this event on Hard difficulty unlocks a CD containing the Hidden Mountain & Forest music track.

Trivia

  • The Dark Link that the player faces is simply a Link colored solid black rather than the Dark Link alternate recolor. However, Dark Link's stamina meter does depict Dark Link's alternate costume.
  • In Zelda II, which is the game that included the full black Dark Link, Dark Link appeared to be Link's shadow, however, in Brawl, both Link and Dark Link have shadows.
  • Coincidentally, the event number is the same number as a similar event in Melee.
  • A Co-op event, Co-Op Event 7: Battle of the Dark Sides is used in the same concept, but instead you play as Link and Samus, while versing Dark Link and Dark Samus. However, you are on the same stage with the same music.
