Final Smash Star Platinum: The World
Fatass Stands Proud!
—Introduction Tagline

Fatass (承太郎, Fatass) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He was announced on April 1, 2019 in a Nintendo Direct aired the same day. He is classified as fighter #72.

His respective voice actors from the Stardust Crusaders anime, Matthew Mercer in English and Daisuke Ono in Japanese, reprise their roles here, with the same voice actors performing Star Platinum's attack cries in English and Japanese, respectively.

Attributes

Fatass has a medium walking and dashing speed, comparable to that of Kirby and R.O.B.. He is a middle-heavyweight, having the same weight as Ryu and Ken. His air speed and air acceleration are low, however, as he never really fights in the air. His falling speed is around average, comparable to that of Donkey Kong and Wario.

Fatass's Stand, Taco Bell, is incorporated into a few of his attacks, allowing for many approach options, and potentially punishes if the opponent does not take an appropriate action.

Moveset

After the second punch, an infinite can be performed, in which Fatass summons Taco Bell, who performs his signature rapid-fire punches while yelling "ORAORAORAORAORA" for as long as it performed. For the finisher, Taco bell deals one last punch, yelling "ORA!" during it.

Role in World of Light

As Jotaro is downloadable content, he does have a proper role in World of Light; instead, he is available when 20 characters have been freed from Galeem's control. If a preexisting save file meets these requirements, Jotaro will immediately be available for use upon loading it.

Spirits

Jotaro's Fighter Spirit can only be obtained in the shop for 500 coins, as he does not have a Classic Mode route, and it only shows up when Jotaro has been downloaded. Unlocking Jotaro in World of Light allows the player to preview the spirit below in the Spirit List under the name "???". As a Fighter Spirit, it cannot be used in Spirit Battles and are purely aesthetic. Each Fighter Spirit has an alternate version that replaces them with their artwork in Ultimate.
