Event 5: The Yoshi Team of 50 is a Co-Op Event Match in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, played on Rainbow Cruise as Meta Knight (P1) and Pit (P2). With two lives each, they must KO fifty Yoshis before the ship completes one lap of the course (which takes precisely 2 minutes and 12.25 seconds).
On the hardest difficulty level, this event becomes one of the game's most challenging to complete under par. As Yoshis will always spawn just above the center of the screen, up tilts from atop the crow's nest are highly effective during the ship phase. Taking advantage of character load times via pausing can also help to shave some time away. After KO-ing an opponent, pause and listen for the Wii to finish loading before resuming play. If timed correctly, this should alleviate a bit of down time. Pausing while only one Yoshi remains will result in another appearing instantly. Items are generally discouraged.

- This event may be considered the successor to the Melee's, The Yoshi Herd, and SSB's Stage 2 in a 1P Game.
- Though the event's picture shows four Yoshis in frame, only three will appear at once during game play.
- The song used for this event is Obstacle Course, otherwise unavailable on Rainbow Cruise.
