|
•The enemy favors neutral specials •The enemy starts the battle with a Fire Flower
|
- Flowey, Piranha Plant, and the Fire Flower item are all plants.
- Ptooie is somewhat visually similar to Flowey's 'friendliness pellets'.
- Flowey is first met on a patch of grass in a dark area, resembling the Balloon Fight stage.

Mario Galaxy
|
•Item: Warp Star
|
•Defeat the main fighter to win •The enemy's (Lucas's) FS Meter charges quickly •Certain items will appear in large numbers •Reinforcements (Yoshi Team) will appear after an enemy is KO'd
|
- Asriel and the Masked Man were both forcefully turned evil. The two characters also have somewhat similar color schemes.
- In Deltarune, a reference to Super Smash Bros. and Yoshi is made. Additionally, the fact that you must defeat 6 before fighting Lucas mirrors how you must befriend the 6 lost souls before being able to try to spare Asriel.
- Both Lucas's Final Smash and the Warp Star item are visually similar to one of Asriel's attacks, Star Blazing.
- The stage takes place in space, which the battle against Asriel in Undertale has several references to.

|
•Defeat the main fighter to win •The enemy (Rosalina & Luma) tends to avoid conflict
|
- Toriel and Rosalina are both guardians of their own areas, taking care of children/Lumas respectively.
- Toriel is a pacifist and only fights when absolutely required, avoiding conflict.
- Greninja is a frog, which Froggit resembles.
- Pit has similar wings and clothes to Whimsun.
- The Ruins and New Pork City are both purple cities of sorts.

•The enemy loves to taunt •The enemy has increased attack power when the enemy's at high damage
|
- Papyrus and Roy both have 'firey' personalities, with the former often taunting about how great he is.
- The final attack he performs in his battle is the most powerful in the fight.
- Summit and Snowdin are both snowy areas.

Dream Land GB (Castle Lololo interior)
|
•Temporary Invincibility •Flowery
|
•Stamina battle (Opponent has 1 HP) •You'll constantly take minor damage •The enemy will suddenly have a Final Smash •The enemy has decreased power
|
- There exists a Sans costume for the Mii Gunner.
- Sans has both 1 HP and very low attack power in Undertale.
- Sans' attacks cause a poison effect of sorts, which drains the opponents' health over time to a set percent.
- The first attack in Sans' battle is one of his most powerful.
- The Castle Lololo interior and the Final Corridor, where Sans is fought, both are yellow hallways with pillars.

|
•Stamina battle (Inkling has 20 HP, Corrin has 120 HP) •The enemy (Inkling) prefers not to move •Reinforcements (Corrin) will appear after an enemy (Inkling) is KO'd
|
- Corrin is a female warrior capable of appearing in a monster form.
- Inkling is a child that isn't fully human; somewhat monster-like.
- Monster Kid is 'fought' before Undyne the Undying and can be 'defeated' in a single attack.
- Spear Pillar is a mountain-like area, similarly to how Undyne is fought in front of a mountain.
- One of the dialogue boxes during the Undyne the Undying battle says that the wind is howling.

N/A
|
•Timed battle •Survive until the timer runs out •The enemy prefers not to attack
|
- Alphys appears as an ally to Frisk rather than a threat.
- She is met in a technological location in the Hotlands.
- The player's choice on whether to KO Isabelle or just avoid the hazards until time runs out is a small reference to the player's decision on whether to kill or spare a monster.
|
- Endless Dodging is a skill exclusive to sans, allowing the user to dodge and roll repeatedly without any lag.
