Yoshi's Egg is a special item that only appears in Event 13: Yoshi's Egg in Super Smash Bros. Melee.
Yoshi's Egg can be picked up and tossed around, however, the egg is not meant to be used as a weapon - the objective is to protect it as Yoshi. The egg will break after it drops or is thrown constantly. If the egg breaks, the event match results in a failure. Nevertheless, it still functions as a throwing weapon, doing 17% damage. The damage is not increased by smashing.
