Experimenting with changing the Spirit Battle Inspiration/Trivia

New Spirit Battle Template

Introduced as an idea from CanvasK, I can personally agree with this new Spirit Battle template. It's not too cramped and it makes reading the text easier in both desktop and mobile view.

Attack
13,700 Mario Galaxy (Battlefield form) N/A •Defeat the main fighter to win

Rainbow Road Medley
Spirit Battle inspiration:
  • Sheik and Geno are both characters who are fast, wears headgears, and assumed alternate forms of their true identities.
  • The minions represents the rest of the player’s party in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, which, in addition to Geno, consists of Mario, Peach, Bowser and Mallow (represented by Kirby).
    • The Mario minion starting off with a Green Shell represents Mario's NokNok Shell.
    • The Peach minion's Autoheal ability references Princess Toadstool's healing spells.
    • The Kirby minion and Mallow are both blob-like creatures with simple eyes.
  • The stage, music, and the Warp Star item enabled in this spirit battle references the Star Road, a celestial realm and Geno's place of origin where he descended from as a star and inhabited the Geno doll.
  • Sheik starting off with a Super Scope and the Star Rod item enabled in this spirit battle reference Geno's various blasters built into his body, including the Star Gun, which can unleash a volley of star-shaped projectiles.
  • The Fast FS Meter battle condition applied to Sheik references Geno's star meter, which allows him to unleash powerful attacks when timed correctly.

Other trivia:
  • This spirit is obtainable through summoning, referencing how Geno is summoned to the Mushroom Kingdom to retrieve the Star Pieces and restore the wishes to the world.
  • In World of Light, Geno's spirit is located in the Outer Space section, referencing Geno's identity as a star who originated from the Star Road in Legend of the Seven Stars.

Argentum

Spirit Battle inspiration:
  • Shulk and Rex are both the main protagonists of each Xenoblade Chronicles games, who met briefly in a Xenoblade Chronicles 2 DLC cutscene.
  • The Lucina minion represents Pyra, Rex's main Blade in Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
  • The stage, without DLC, references Fonsett Island, a jungle-like area where Rex was raised in Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
  • The music represents Rex's appearance in Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
  • Shulk starting off with a Fire Bar and the Lava Floor hazard, without DLC, references Pyra's status as a Fire Blade with the ability to engulf the battlefield in flames.

Other trivia:
  • In World of Light, Rex's spirit is located in the Lost Woods section of the Sacred Land map similar to the stage's setting, without DLC.

7,500 Fountain of Dreams •Health Recovery •Defeat the main fighter to win
•The enemy is healed after a little while
Aerith's Theme
Spirit Battle inspiration:
  • Zelda's purple costume features Zelda's hair turning brown, referencing Aerith's brown hair.
  • The Cloud minion and first battle condition reference how Cloud became Aerith's temporary bodyguard near the beginning of Final Fantasy VII.
  • The Cloud minion, stage, and music reference the infamous scene from Final Fantasy VII where Aerith dies at the hands of Sephiroth and Cloud lays her to rest underneath the waters of the Forgotten City.
  • The Health Recovery rule and this spirit's Autoheal ability references Aerith's Healing Wind and Pulse of Life Limit Breaks in Final Fantasy VII.
  • Zelda's frequent Din's Fire, without DLC, and the Mii Swordfighter's moveset, with DLC, reference Aerith's ability to use magic to attack during battle.

Other trivia:

The only problem is how to integrate the DLC content in one of the columns before we get full approval? If there's anyone more tech savvy, let us know how we can accomplish this. Autismo555 (talk) 13:14, September 10, 2021 (EDT)
