}}Gardevoir (サーナイト, Sānaito, Sirnight in Japanese language versions) is a creature in the Pokémon media franchise.

Creature description

Gardevoir debuted with the other 3rd Generation of Pokémon, and is the third and final evolution of the Ralts family. Gardevoir has feminine appearance, however a Gardevoir can be male. Gardevoir cares for its trainer and displays great loyalty towards them.

In the anime, a bounty hunter named J kidnapped a Gardevoir from another trainer named Melodi. Melodi's Gardevoir used Teleport to save Ash and Team Rocket from J's ship. When the fourth generation of Pokémon was introduced, the trainer had the option of evolving a male Kirlia into a more masculine, battle-ready warrior Pokémon called Gallade instead of Gardevoir.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl

As a Poké Ball Pokémon

When called from a Poké Ball, Gardevoir creates a circular barrier (called "Reflect") that is impenetrable to thrown objects and projectile attacks. Characters (regardless of whether they're the summoner or the opponents) can easily walk into and out of the force field while Gardevoir is out. Gardevoir and its attached force field walk across the stage from end to end for about 15 seconds.
