An Event Match is a battle in which predetermined conditions (i.e. number of opponents, your strength, handicaps, and so on) are imposed. Event matches first appeared in Super Smash Bros. Melee, with as many as 51 being available. Event matches have been confirmed to return in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. In Brawl however, there are only 41 single-player events and new additions include 3 difficulty levels per event.

Co-Op Events

A new feature introduced in Brawl are Co-Op Events. Two players can now cooperatively partake in each event. Additionally, the Co-Op Event mode features a differing set of events that the regular mode. However, the total number of Co-Op Events is less than that of regular events.
