Co-Op Event 16: Jigglypuff's Great Comeback is a Co-Op Event Match in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. In this match, Jigglypuff and Mr. Game & Watch start as tiny characters, while Lucas and Ness are giant. As Castle Siege changes tiers, Jigglypuff starts to grow and Lucas and Ness shrink. After the stage changes to the third tier, Jigglypuff is giant, while Lucas and Ness are tiny.

Strategies

Keep Jigglypuff alive until the third tier. When Jigglypuff is giant in the third tier, a single smash attack can KO an opponent. Start the counter-attack once you arrive at the the second stage of Castle Siege in order to ensure that time does not run out on the third one. Jigglypuff can easily avoid Ness & Lucas by floating around beneath the right side of the first stage and grabbing the edge when out of jumps, then restarting the sequence -- Game & Watch can serve as a distraction for Ness and/or Lucas with weak attacks, such as spamming neutral A. Keeping Game & Watch alive may prove to be useful for the counter-attack, but is not necessary.

1st tier: Jigglypuff & Mr. Game & Watch small, Ness & Lucas giant.

2nd tier: Jigglypuff, Ness, & Lucas normal, Mr. Game & Watch small.

3rd tier: Jigglypuff giant, Ness, Lucas, & Mr. Game & Watch small.

Trivia

  • Oddly, the song for this event match is Balloon Trip, otherwise unavailable on Castle Siege. This may be in reference to Jigglypuff being a "Balloon Pokémon."
  • This event match is the only one in Brawl which requires one of the players to select Jigglypuff.
  • Many players have jokingly claimed that the description of the event represents Jigglypuff's low tier.
