The Show Preview button

Hello, Smashedpotatoes, and welcome to SmashWiki. I see you've been working on some SSB4-related character pages, but you have been making multiple small edits in quick succession. One thing you can do to avoid clogging the recent changes page is to use the "Show Preview" button while editing. This button is immediately to the right of the "Save page" button in the bottom of the editing tool. Use "Show Preview" to look through your edits and check for any errors or spots where you may want to add more.

Now knowing this tool, you have the ability to increase your editing skills further. Kind regards, DarkFox01DF01Sig.pngIf I go down, I’m taking you with me! 19:03, 28 July 2015 (EDT)

Gotcha. Sorry about that, I will do that for future edits! Smashedpotatoes (talk) 19:57, 28 July 2015 (EDT)

SW:1RV

If someone reverts your edit, you are not supposed to revert back. There's a reason for it, and a discussion should be held on the talk page instead of edit warring. I will be reverting Alternate costume back to Aidan's version. Serpent King (talk) 18:48, 22 August 2015 (EDT)

What is trivia?

Trivia, as defined by Oxford, is:

Details, considerations, or pieces of information of little importance or value.
—Oxford

Or, alternatively:

Unimportant matters, trivial facts or details
—Merriam-Webster

SW:TRIVIA also outlines what trivia is here. Some trivia is blatantly obvious, sure (for example, saying "Bowser has some of the strongest attacks ever" would be obvious), but there are others that are interesting to know (for example, saying "Bowser's forward smash in Smash 4 is the second strongest forward smash in the series in terms of knockback" would be interesting). Changing the head icon used. No biggie.Aidan, Master of Speed and AuraPer Request, for User:Aidanzapunk. 15:44, 10 September 2015 (EDT)

Thing is, that trivia point is highly uninteresting. Like, there's no problem with the others, it's just that one. There comes a point when trivia is just so trivial and uninteresting that it just shouldn't be there, like that one. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 16:43, 10 September 2015 (EDT)

We could come up with a reasonable compromise. Do the silhouette images show the characters frozen? If so, something like "likely due to the attacks freezing the characters" or something could be added at the end of the prior bullet point. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 16:51, 10 September 2015 (EDT)

I looked it up and they do, so I made the change, if you don't like it, tell me. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 16:58, 10 September 2015 (EDT)

I'm fine with that. Changing the head icon used. No biggie.Aidan, Master of Speed and AuraPer Request, for User:Aidanzapunk. 18:55, 10 September 2015 (EDT)

Alternate Costume Page

Hi, I noticed you have been making tons of edits on different sections of the Alternate costume (SSB4) page. I'd suggest that you'd edit the entire page by clicking on the "edit this page" button at the top and edit every section in one edit instead of editing section by section. This will not clog up the "Recent changes" page. If you have trouble keeping track of your edits when editing an entire page, edit one or two sections, then wait a while before editing another section, thanks. ZeldaStarfoxfan2164 (talk) is a never lover boy 21:59, 13 September 2015 (EDT)

This is tolerable, actually. If someone's not confident in making a big edit to a huge page, it's acceptable to edit section-by-section with little pause in between. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Labbie 22:36, 13 September 2015 (EDT)
Not to mention for a large page like that, it can be overwhelming to edit all at once. I'd much rather scan it all little by little and see what I need to edit then submit, as opposed to doing the entire thing at once, which carries a risk of me losing all my changes if something screws up on my browser or computer. Like I was confident in deleting a bunch of excess stuff off that page yesterday all at once because I knew what I was doing, but little things that needed tweaking require more time and a careful, thorough examination of the material. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 22:47, 13 September 2015 (EDT)
I was actually notified for something like this once. ZeldaStarfoxfan2164 (talk) is made in America 22:57, 13 September 2015 (EDT)
When I was writing this, I was editing by section too, and like potato here, I did edits at night when there were very few people online. It's not disruptive if no one is there to be disturbed by it. SerpentKing (talk) 23:01, 13 September 2015 (EDT)
Yeah, what Serpent said is true. I wonder why it's an issue. Maybe of memory, or the inconvenience of seeing a flood of edits on the Recent Changes page just for one page? Smashedpotatoes (talk) 23:03, 13 September 2015 (EDT)
Maybe it was the time when we had five matches in a single Smash Arena round. We were told to vote for multiple matches in one edit, then I had the habit of trying to edit an entire page. ZeldaStarfoxfan2164 (talk) is a never lover boy 23:06, 13 September 2015 (EDT)

Now, let me explain myself...

I am in no way upset with you. It's just been a rough day for me, I'm tired, and I just can't deal with more bullshit right now. Get rest then. I get super grumpy when I'm tired too. In fact, I'm starting to get tired right now myself. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 23:59, 14 September 2015 (EDT)

A proper explanation

Forgive me for reviving a (somewhat) dead topic, but, now that I am more awake and less grumpy, I think I should give a better explanation regarding the events of last night, as I feel my evidence was a bit vague.

The reason it should stay in one bullet instead of being split is because, when reading the first part of it, it needs an explanation to back it up, which is where the second part (the part you wanted to separate from it) comes in. If they're split, then it's just giving information, with no reasoning as to why it's trivia in the first place.

Is this a much better explanation? Changing the head icon used. No biggie.Aidan, Master of Speed and AuraPer Request, for User:Aidanzapunk. 09:02, 15 September 2015 (EDT)

That's pretty much what I was aiming for there last night. Although I disagree that they cannot be split. Nevertheless...
The thing is, is that the stage being announced three days after SMM's release doesn't suffice as an explanation as well as the fact of SMM being released "less than three weeks" prior to the stage's release. A release is much more important than an announcement. That's when a game actually releases. The date it gets released is the release date. Blah blah blah. That's the logic here. The announcement date just isn't as important, or as pertinent to the trivia point here.
So it's an issue of logic here. So SMM is the most recently-represented game. Cool. Why? The game released three weeks prior to the stage's release. The date of stage's reveal is not relevant when compared to the date of the stage's release. Hope you understand this dude. Let me know what you think. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 12:56, 15 September 2015 (EDT)
Let's delve further into this. Let's say it's like, June 26, 2015, the day after Wooly World's release. Wooly World is the most recently-represented game in Smash. Why is that so? It's not because the stage was announced November 4, 2014. It's because just yesterday, June 25th, 2015, it was released. It has a representation in the form of a stage and music in Smash. This release was just yesterday, and since there are no other games that have representation in Smash that have released since Wooly World here, we can conclude that that it's the most recently-represented game in Smash. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 13:06, 15 September 2015 (EDT)
gotta agree with smashedpotatoes here. The reveal just seems irrelevant to that trivia point. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe Nutta. 13:11, 15 September 2015 (EDT)

Personally, I disagree with mentioning the dates at all, as the Splatoon costumes were announced and released earlier compared to their game. I'm fine with still referring to Super Mario Maker as the most recent game to receive representation in Smash 4, though. Nyargleblargle (Talk · Contribs) 15:48, 15 September 2015 (EDT)

Honestly I'm fine with just leaving it as saying it's the most recently-represented game in Smash 4 as well. I mean, if people are so curious, they can look up specifics elsewhere. We don't have to spell everything out for anyone. But my point is that logically, the date the stage is announced does not explain the game being the most recently-represented game in Smash 4. So we don't need to include that at all in that trivia point. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 15:53, 15 September 2015 (EDT)

Ok, I'll admit that mentioning the stage release date compared to SMM's release is better than the reveal to the release. I was just making a better argument as to why the information should have been kept in the first place.
With that being said, however, I don't plan on adding information back cuz SW:1RV exists because I feel the information, as it stands now, works better. Changing the head icon used. No biggie.Aidan, Master of Speed and AuraPer Request, for User:Aidanzapunk. 16:01, 15 September 2015 (EDT)
Ok good. I feel that way as well. I'm glad we could come a conclusion, and that you understand the logic. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 16:04, 15 September 2015 (EDT)

SW:1RV

Read it. Follow it. I'm done. SerpentKing (talk) 03:34, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

As if you followed that yourself. I also don't know why you defend dumb edits. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 03:36, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

Especially since you've shown to be smarter than that. I don't get it... Smashedpotatoes (talk) 03:37, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

I have had enough of your BS. You cannot simply undo edits based on opinion. My breach of 1RV is admitted, but yours tallies up. You've done it multiple times and I am growing very annoyed. SerpentKing (talk) 03:39, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

As a side note, I looked up the master hand trivia and saw that it indeed needed removed, so I agree with you there SerpentKing (talk) 03:42, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

You're undoing edits on opinion as well. And I'm not giving you BS. Pretty much all disputes I've given reason and logic. Sometimes these reasons include whatever was deleted being stupid and/or uninteresting. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 03:41, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

I also don't get why you're so annoyed. Do you really think a trivia talking about how the first 2-3 letters of a characters'/clones' names are similar is actually notable/interesting? Like, really, you're defending that? I don't get it, there's no BS on my end here. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 03:46, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

"no" is not reason or logic, sorry. That's the biggest problem I have with Mario and Marth SerpentKing (talk) 03:47, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

I just explained myself and you're just going to cling onto me saying "no?" How stupid is that? Smashedpotatoes (talk) 03:48, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

See there you go! It's not the edits themselves, it's the way you are presenting them, as if your opinion is the only one that matters, even over those who have been here for way longer. Also the way you handle disputes sickens me. SerpentKing (talk) 03:49, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

That's cool. You really think I think that my opinion is the only one that matters? I've seen those points undone by several people (I think Miles actually did it at one point as well) so you can't say that. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 03:50, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

nonono you think your opinion is the only one that matters. SerpentKing (talk) 03:53, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

Also, they did it for the same reasons as well: it's insignificant. I'm beginning to think you're undoing my edits because you think I'm arrogant or something, not because you're following logic, but that's just a guess. See, I don't know everything. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 03:52, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

That would be correct. SerpentKing (talk) 03:53, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

See you can hurl accusations all you want, make assumptions all you want. I've been wrong before, but honestly, I don't see why you think that these two edits are wrong. Like, I don't get it. It's been made before for reasons. Like, I follow reason. Don't get it. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 03:56, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

I don't, I think the way you are going about it is wrong. I have reverted my edits on both pages for the purpose of not harming the wiki over my own squabble. SerpentKing (talk) 03:58, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

So you think that me giving "no" for a reason is wrong? Do you really think that's harmful? When it's something that obviously needs to be changed, that's usually what I put, but you know I guess you're the only one here thinking it's arrogant. I don't mean to come off that way, honestly. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 04:00, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

If anything, I'm trying to come across as a little funny. But if it's coming across as arrogant, I apologize, I don't mean it. I'll stop doing that if need be. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 04:02, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

If you have a problem with me and/or how I give reasons, see my talk page first instead of undoing edits... Smashedpotatoes (talk) 04:04, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

Hey, everyone, am I an ass?

For saying "no" when I remove content that obviously needs to be removed? Do you see it as mean, arrogant, or condescending? Because I mean it in a humorous way, but if it's coming across wrong, then I'll by all means stop. I mean I actually should be giving good edit summaries. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 04:07, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

No I lost my cool and I'm sorry. You should try to improve your dispute skills though. SerpentKing (talk) 04:11, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
It's really the last thing I needed this late at night, but I forgive you. How can I improve my dispute skills? Smashedpotatoes (talk) 04:14, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
Work on giving your opinion without implying that it's fact. SerpentKing (talk) 04:17, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
So explaining my reasoning, rather than coming across as dismissive of everything/everyone else. In regards to summaries or the squabble we just had here? I was assuming that people would know those trivia points were stupid, but I guess I shouldn't assume that either...Smashedpotatoes (talk) 04:18, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
On a side note, I feel that here, you shouldn't need to say that your opinion is an opinion. If what is said is coming from another user, why not assume it's an opinion from the getgo? Smashedpotatoes (talk) 04:22, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
To separate the user's stance from their evidence. Nyargleblargle (Talk · Contribs) 09:20, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
Also, I apologize for being a dick with the laughing at your undoing of edits and the like. I haven't been in the best mood today and seeing that, I didn't really care how I came across there. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 04:25, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
Its okay. I wouldn't say that your an ass. Its just that you should follow 1RV. Dots (talk) 60% tech skill, 30% crazy, 10% you name it. :P The Zealot 09:29, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

"omfg staaaahhhhhhpppp" is hardly a useful edit summary. I understand a reasonable degree of humor and/or frustration is involved, but it comes across as rather childish. It would be somewhat beneficial if you could attempt a slightly more serious tone, especially in the case of an edit that was going back and forth for a while. Miles (talk) 01:22, 29 September 2015 (EDT)

Debatable. Although, it wasn't really intended to be useful in the first place. Could've gone with or without a summary and coulda been fine, but I went with neither out of spite. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 02:20, 29 September 2015 (EDT)

Although I agree that it maybe woulda been best not to do so in the case of an edit going back and forth like that one. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 02:25, 29 September 2015 (EDT)

What you're saying is pretty reasonable. Tell you what - I'll drop the childish-sounding Internet lingo/slang, but keep the sass. Sound good? Smashedpotatoes (talk) 02:40, 29 September 2015 (EDT)

Try, as you are able, to make your edit summaries something that other editors will not find either objectionable or irritating. That's what I'm asking. Wikis are a collaborative effort and users should contribute in such a way that other users want to continue to work with them. Miles (talk) 02:45, 29 September 2015 (EDT)

Simple enough, thanks for letting me know. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 02:46, 29 September 2015 (EDT)

Something to keep in mind

If I add a sub-bullet (such as the one on the Mario Maker page), it's probably there for a reason. The general rule I have is that, if it goes with one trivia point, but it doesn't fit well with the actual trivia point itself, then it's a sub-bullet. Changing the head icon used. No biggie.Aidan, Master of Speed and AuraPer Request, for User:Aidanzapunk. 12:16, 1 October 2015 (EDT)

I get what you're getting at. However, it's not really proper to have just one sub-bullet point. The point of bullet points are to list things. Multiple things, not just one thing. There's also the argument that that trivia point in that sub-bullet point isn't interesting either. People can look at the side menu and see the tracks, and see the new songs at the top of the list that clearly pertain to the stage itself (Style Switch and Mario Maker theme). It's not interesting to point out that kind of stuff that is already there and that they can easily discover on their own if they are so curious. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 12:31, 1 October 2015 (EDT)

The new songs aren't restricted to the top of the list, however. Therefore, a trivia point is in order; namely, one to explain that not all tracks on the stage are new. Granted, A. most of the people on this wiki will already know this (trivia is most of the time directed to people who happen to be reading the wiki and have no part in adding info), and B. people can find out which tracks are new by downloading the stage themselves, but it's still worth having as a trivia point. Changing the head icon used. No biggie.Aidan, Master of Speed and AuraPer Request, for User:Aidanzapunk. 12:37, 1 October 2015 (EDT)
And I'd argue it's not worth having as a trivia point (with reasons stated prior), in which case you're not going to budge in thinking it's a trivia point worth having (with an insufficient explanation why), in which case I will be wanting a more sufficient explanation from you as to why you think it is worth having. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 12:48, 1 October 2015 (EDT)
How is it insufficient when I didn't even give an explanation prior to this debate? My reasoning is it stands out from the other two stages with this distinction; Big Battlefield has all the tracks from Battlefield, and Pirate Ship uses tracks from Skyloft, Temple, and Hyrule Castle. Mario Maker, on the other hand, takes songs from other stages, as well as adding new songs to it. Therefore, "of those three stages, it is the only one to receive new tracks as well as shared music." Changing the head icon used. No biggie.Aidan, Master of Speed and AuraPer Request, for User:Aidanzapunk. 13:14, 1 October 2015 (EDT)

Sorry, I thought you attempting to explain with your prior post. My bad. I get your explanation but the trivia point is plain redundant, so nothing's lost omitting it. Not really willing to press the issue any further, so whatever, at this point, I don't have much of a care anymore if the point is kept or not. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 16:54, 1 October 2015 (EDT)

It's just that uninteresting trivia such as that is redundant, boring, and needless. The other ones on that page are just fine... Smashedpotatoes (talk) 16:57, 1 October 2015 (EDT)

Scratch what I said earlier about not caring. You elaborated on the trivia point, but you didn't say why it was worth keeping. As the writer of that point, the burden is on you to explain why it should be kept. Do you really think that's interesting? It's just a fact about the stage, but not all facts are interesting as trivia. If you can provide a good explanation as to why you think it's worth keeping, then maybe I'll change my mind. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 17:07, 1 October 2015 (EDT)

If you have a response, I'd like to hear it. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 19:18, 1 October 2015 (EDT)

SW:TRIVIA states the following:
Trivia sections are to be used for miscellaneous facts that don't fit in anywhere else in a mainspace article, but are still sufficiently noteworthy to merit mention.
SW:TRIVIA
All the trivia I've added is basically miscellaneous facts that I find cool about it. Some things I find are not interesting, so therefore I do not add them. I add the ones I think are important, and that other people would be intrigued by. Changing the head icon used. No biggie.Aidan, Master of Speed and AuraPer Request, for User:Aidanzapunk. 09:11, 2 October 2015 (EDT)
I hardly think that point is important. I don't think people think that point is important either, or are intrigued by it. Must we talk this to the SMM talk page? Smashedpotatoes (talk) 14:44, 2 October 2015 (EDT)
No, no, SMM page isn't necessary as of now. And also note how you are not the only person here; your opinion is taken into consideration, believe me, but, like the rest of the wiki here, majority rules. If I've put up something, and you're the only one that has a problem with it, then I don't really know what to say. Changing the head icon used. Well I do. That's why I want to take it to the talk page, to get other people's input. Lol. Because you and I, we're stubborn as hell, and we butt heads, so getting outside input would be great. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 14:49, 2 October 2015 (EDT)

That's an assumption though. It's not like people don't ignore problems. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 15:11, 2 October 2015 (EDT)

See that's why it should be brought up on the talk page, so that other people can give input. Cuz you obviously won't budge, and I won't either, and we've given reasons and gotten nowhere. We've done it before Smashedpotatoes (talk) 15:14, 2 October 2015 (EDT)

Anyways, I'm not sure if I'm willing to go at it. We're in another classic situation where we both think we're right and unwilling to budge. If you're gonna accuse me of being arrogance but let a guy slide who quickly undos edits and states "No my edit is better" and has clearly not budged when he was wrong at some points, I don't really know what to say bud. It'd be fair and logical, in your perspective, to accuse us both but you don't seem to work that way. Make like a snake and slither out of arguments that don't call for your input. This isn't about me or him, it's about the trivia point, and your input fails in that regard. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 00:19, 3 October 2015 (EDT)
I have put up with this as long as I am going to. This is a talk page, in otherwords, public. You cannot simply deny my input. Now, Aidan has given you reasons for his edit (far more legit than yours, I might add), so your statement here is null and void, sorry. Look, I am just trying to keep piece here. My line of thinking is this: Aidan rarely gets into major conflicts with anyone, nor do I. I am just using a process of elimination. And observation. SerpentKing (talk) 00:24, 3 October 2015 (EDT)
I'm not denying your input. It's just that this was between me and Aidan and your input added nothing but more conflict unfortunately. Give me a good basis of what you mean by "legit" and I'll be willing to listen. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 00:27, 3 October 2015 (EDT)
Things were actually going fine until you came in with that useless comment...Smashedpotatoes (talk) 00:31, 3 October 2015 (EDT)
"The new songs aren't restricted to the top of the list, however. Therefore, a trivia point is in order; namely, one to explain that not all tracks on the stage are new. Granted, A. most of the people on this wiki will already know this (trivia is most of the time directed to people who happen to be reading the wiki and have no part in adding info), and B. people can find out which tracks are new by downloading the stage themselves, but it's still worth having as a trivia point."
He clearly addresses your point and provides legit counter arguments SerpentKing (talk) 00:32, 3 October 2015 (EDT)

He explains the trivia point, but doesn't give a reason why it's "worth having." Smashedpotatoes (talk) 00:41, 3 October 2015 (EDT)

Alright, look. If any of you wants to bring it to the talk page, bring it to the talk page. If not, then get over it. It's a stupid trivia point for crying out loud. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe Nutta. 00:43, 3 October 2015 (EDT)

I was actually willing to let it go until Serpent butted in spewing his venomous comment, which got me riled up. I didn't state it here so that's my bad. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 00:45, 3 October 2015 (EDT)

What venomous comment? I meant no offense until you started violating NPA SerpentKing (talk) 00:47, 3 October 2015 (EDT)

Then again, what a situation. Two parties thinking they're right and a third also thinking he's right and trying to be a mediator but is actually making things worse. Hell, this is going nowhere, so might as well throw it onto the talk page. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 00:47, 3 October 2015 (EDT)

Actually no. Just forget about this, I'm not willing, it's not worth it, I'll get over this. One trivia point has led this dispute. So not worth it. F it, I'm dipping. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 00:50, 3 October 2015 (EDT)

It's almost humorous how my arguments on trivia points reels you two in and gets us all going to the point of us looking like pedantic fools. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 03:25, 3 October 2015 (EDT)

My pardons, but I thought this discussion was over. "It's not worth it" after all. SerpentKing (talk) 03:37, 3 October 2015 (EDT)

It is over, do you have a problem with me commenting on it? Smashedpotatoes (talk) 03:38, 3 October 2015 (EDT)

Well typically when a discussion is over...it's over. SerpentKing (talk) 03:39, 3 October 2015 (EDT)

Once again, get off my case. It's almost like you enjoy this. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 03:40, 3 October 2015 (EDT)

Or maybe I am just really ticked off about all of this fighting. It's a constant thing, and it's irritating. SerpentKing (talk) 03:42, 3 October 2015 (EDT)

It is irritating. At the same time, you chose to jump into this discussion, for one, which at the time, even though you had the right and ability to do so, it wasn't really your business. You've also shown that you are willing to argue about things you don't even care about. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 03:46, 3 October 2015 (EDT)

I will jump into a conversation in an attempt to mediate if I feel things could go off rails. I try to be a peace keeper. You are correct, this extends to subjects that I do not have a specific opinion on. SerpentKing (talk) 03:48, 3 October 2015 (EDT)

Well then you felt incorrectly then, because this was going just fine, it was just long like always. Perhaps I didn't make it clear in time. Also, I didn't say your attempts at peacekeeping extended to things you do not care about (though that's true) but your arguing can extend to things you don't care about. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 03:51, 3 October 2015 (EDT)

I mean, it's good to mediate things, no matter your personal stance on the given matter. But sometimes a mediator isn't needed, like here. That aside, and I'm not talking about this specific instance anymore, but it's best to take sides in an argument that you actually care about. Especially on this wiki. Otherwise you're just wasting your time and energy. All the arguments/debates/discussions I've had have all regarded things I care about. Sometimes I may end up letting them go like I was about to do here, but I always debated because I had some concern over an issue. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 04:09, 3 October 2015 (EDT)

I mean, this extends even moreso in much more important things in life: You take a side for what you believe in, for what you care for. Not things you don't. Like I don't care to take sides on whatever celebrity scandals are going on, it doesn't concern me and I have no desire to keep up and be in the know with them. Waste of time for me Smashedpotatoes (talk) 04:18, 3 October 2015 (EDT)

But I digress, it is late at night and I may regret saying some things in the morning. I'm done commenting on this Smashedpotatoes (talk) 04:20, 3 October 2015 (EDT)

Uh....that tag summary for Palutena

Can you please cut down on it? First off, its 3corny5me. Second, it's noticeably long and only two of the almost 10 sentences are relevant in any way. Ganonmew, The Evil Clone 20:11, 1 October 2015 (EDT)

Edit: Forget this ever existed. Ganonmew, The Evil Clone 20:12, 1 October 2015 (EDT)

I intended it to be 3corny5me given the ridiculous length of the section. Nevertheless, 'twas indeed long. Like the Attributes section. Lol Smashedpotatoes (talk) 14:47, 2 October 2015 (EDT)

Boxing Ring

Ok, let's break it down.

  1. Yes, it's a guess, but it's a legitimate guess.
  2. I know for a fact that stages have been shown without music because there's already music playing in the background. Take the Smash 4 Direct as an example.
  3. Continuing that last point, it is the only stage shown off in the Developer Direct that didn't have music playing.

What I've noticed a lot is you are the only one who removes the stuff I add, and has a problem with it. No one, not even this guy, has a problem with it. It's always you. Changing the head icon used. No biggie.Aidan, Master of Speed and AuraPer Request, for User:Aidanzapunk. 09:58, 8 October 2015 (EDT)

  1. Still speculation.
  2. Not entirely true because...
  3. Battlefield's music wasn't playing

I omit things I see unfitting/unnecessary/unneeded, and a lot of trivia you put in fits the bill. That's not to say that I'm picking on every thing you do, it's just that much of the things you put here are problematic or unnecessary, and I see them on Recent changes, and make edits accordingly.

Smashedpotatoes (talk) 17:26, 8 October 2015 (EDT)

No, speculation would be saying something like "Because music from The Wonderful 101 appears in Smash Bros., and because there's trophies of each Wonderful One, it's possible that Nintendo will release Wonder-Red as a playable character in Smash." And also, I'm referring to the little bits where there were 4 players on a stage at the very end of the thing, not Sakurai showing off gameplay. Finally, if a lot of the stuff I put is, to you, unnecessary, then perhaps you should read SW:TRIVIA. Changing the head icon used. No biggie.Aidan, Master of Speed and AuraPer Request, for User:Aidanzapunk. 18:22, 8 October 2015 (EDT)

I've read it many times. You're speculating the reasoning behind it. It's speculative and uninteresting, but I'm guessing in response you'll again say that it's not speculative and in fact interesting, which means that we'll be getting nowhere. I'm not willing to debate much further about this. If you're going to be stubborn, if you're willing to hold onto this, and you're going to make this that important to you, then instead of debating this I'll just throw it on the talk page. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 19:22, 8 October 2015 (EDT)

Why leave?

Why leave SmashWiki? If you stay, you can help us out, Combat the vandals, and generally improve the wiki! Just saying. INoMed-sig.png INoMed (Talk) 08:46, 9 October 2015 (EDT)

He didn't say that. If you look at the edit, he was removing stuff on his userpage. Changing the head icon used. No biggie.Aidan, Master of Speed and AuraPer Request, for User:Aidanzapunk. 08:50, 9 October 2015 (EDT)

I've done those things and many things I've wanted to be seen done. As of recent I just don't have much time, energy, or will for things such as this anymore. Maybe I'll come back sometimes in the far future, but SW cannot have a place in my life right now. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 08:52, 9 October 2015 (EDT)

I better hope you'll come back in 2016 or earlier... Because in my mind, "Far future" means "in the 2020's/2030's". Anyways... A LOT of users will miss you. :-(............................................ INoMed-sig.png INoMed (Talk) 08:56, 9 October 2015 (EDT)
I don't think I'd be doing this during those years, so expect "far future" to be before then or nil. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 09:05, 9 October 2015 (EDT)
Oh. (i won't disturb you anymore... Bye bye.) INoMed-sig.png INoMed (Talk) 09:13, 9 October 2015 (EDT)
You weren't disturbing me. I'll see you later though man. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 09:14, 9 October 2015 (EDT)

Welcome back!

Welcome back, dude! HawkSoulBacon, your one true love :) (talk) 18:09, 21 November 2015 (EST)

Thanks, man! Glad to be back. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 18:13, 21 November 2015 (EST)

Aidan's talk page

The main reason I did that was because a little bit ago, NuttyKid reverted a typo fix that I did to a comment I made.Sorry for doing that.98.157.202.185 16:49, 24 November 2015 (EST)

Oh ok, I get you. That's weird. Don't worry about it. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 16:50, 24 November 2015 (EST)

you & I have a long rivalry
