Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome, editors and users, to the Smash Arena! Each week this forum hosts a tussle between two characters from the Super Smash Bros. series! The winner gets, well, nothing. It's more of a poll but functionally, this is a popularity contest. You may vote for your favorite or who you think would win in an competition between the two combatants that round. No, you don't have to vote for the character with strength & power, just vote if you are a total fanboy of the character. So what are you waiting for? Get voting! Remember, you can remain anonymous! If you have any requests for future fights, please feel free to leave a message here.

The Rules

When voting, you can give a brief comment on why you voted the way you did, or you can just leave your signature.
You can only vote once. Any multiple votes will be removed.
Put a # before your vote to facilitate the vote counting.
Type ~~~~ after your vote to sign it, whether you are logged in or not. Using the wrong number of "~"s counts as not signing - your signature must have both your signature itself and the time.
There is a line in each section consisting of "DO NOT ADD COMMENTS OR EDIT ANYTHING BELOW THIS LINE". You are to do so; do not just type your vote at the bottom of the editing window. Not following this rule results in your vote being displayed in the wrong place.
Put your vote below other votes; that is, so the votes are in chronological order.
Any comments about the fight should be left in the comment section. It is recommended that you do not post argumentative, accusative, or any sort of comment with the intention of starting an argument with someone on the opposing side. The Smash Arena is a popularity contest, there's no need to argue with the other side on why your choice is superior, or why they are wrong with their reasoning for picking their choice.
You may only vote in the current fight; all previous fights are closed.
Do not leave a space between your comment and the ones above it (and/or below it).
Do not put your vote in the Half-Votes section. It is not where anonymous users vote, nor is it acceptable to want your vote to be worth half. It is basically saying "I want to be punished", and you will be treated accordingly.
If there are multiple fights in a single round, try to make all your votes in a single edit.

If your vote is not added correctly - that is, it breaks rules 3, 4, or 5 - you have one hour to fix it. After this time, it may be moved by any user to the Half-Votes section (adding the unsigned template if necessary), and it will count as half a vote. Attempting to move your vote out of the Half-Votes section may result in it being worth zero at an operator's discretion. In addition, if your votes-to-rulebreaks ratio climbs too high, your votes may count for zero until the ratio drops to an acceptable level.

Round 81: Luigi vs. Yoshi

Both of Mario's green buddies are now having a go in the Smash Arena - one's his trustworthy brother; the other, his trusty steed. Both get some of the best air in the Mushroom Kingdom, both are almost as clumsy as they are fast, and neither likes to lose.

Round 80: Battlefield vs. Final Destination

The only three stages to appear in all three games (in some form or other), making them in a way the most iconic. They exist between universes and are often considered the fairest stages (outside of competitive play). Which series of stages gets the fan approval?

Comments Yet again, my fight is up. Again, I will not vote on this, though I will say that Final Destination has a cooler background but Battlefield has better setup. PK YES!!! 22:24, 7 April 2011 (EDT) My theory of the stages revolves greatly around the relationship between the Ancients and Master Hand. I've previously expressed my belief that SSB64 takes place when Master Hand is young, and still experimenting with his powers. Melee takes place later, when he has created his own planet. Brawl goes deeper into this. Anyways, I believe that the Ancients are supposed to be the original residents of the world, and were initially angry when Master Hand came in and started playing around. As such, Battlefield is supposed to be the site of where Master Hand battled them. Of course, he won, and as a result the Anchients created Final Destination using the same technology they used for their floating island.
