Dino-wrangling (いちおう恐竜だし, Well, I am a Dinosaur) is the 4th event match of the 51 event matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee. As an available character of their choice, the player must win a stock match against a giant CPU Yoshi on the Yoshi's Story stage with no time limit. The player starts with 3 stocks, while the giant Yoshi starts with 1 stock. Due to Yoshi's massive size (being even larger than a regular Yoshi under the effects of a Super Mushroom), he is very heavy and strong. However, his increased weight coupled with his low AI level means that he will often self-destruct within seconds of the event's start.
Trivia
- Giant Yoshi is possible opponent in Stage 2 of Brawl's Classic Mode with Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong as the player's allies.
- Giant Yoshi acts an opponent in Ultimate's Classic Mode for both Kirby and Inkling, although the latter fights Giant Yoshi in an alternate light blue costume rather than his green default costume.
