It would appear that they have more priority over Bowser's, as they defeat Bowser's Fire Breath when faced upon one another. Origins

Flamethrower in Generation I Pokémon games.

Flamethrower is a very common Fire attack introduced in Generation I in the Pokémon games and is used frequently due to its above average power and near-perfect accuracy. In battle, it has a base power of 95 with 100% accuracy, and can be used 15 times before losing power

Use by Other Pokémon

  • Charmander - When Charmander appears in Saffron City, it uses Flamethrower in one direction by breathing fire from its mouth.
  • Charizard (Poké Ball) - Charizard appears from a Poké Ball in Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Melee, where it uses Flamethrower. Charizard alternates between breathing fire to the left then right.
  • Cyndaquil - Cyndaquil appears from a Poké Ball in Melee, where it uses Flamethrower in one direction, like Charmander. Cyndaquil generates the fire from the flame on its back.
