  • 02:2302:23, April 16, 2024 diff hist −2 m List of largest Smash tournaments"100 entrants minimum" is a very dumb rule that leaves out important early record progression and I see no established consensus for enacting that rule. "1v1 only" is also a pointless restriction, if a doubles bracket actually got enough entrants to hold the record, why shouldn't it count? Added incomplete tag to the record progression section as several games have their early records not properly documented due to the "100 entrants minimum" rule. current

He certainly wasn't making any money at those super early Japan tournaments, so he was no "professional" in that regard. If we're basing this on antiquated wiki terminology where "professional" was a term for "good player", you can't declare that off of just winning an early official tournament with non-competitive rules, especially when there were several tournament winners that day anyway. current

Ultimate: This is a fucking mess, why the hell are all these tournaments listed as "holding the record", when there is clearly one tournament that was largest on launch day and so held the record alone? Also get Smash Out off this list, DPITG was larger and thus held the record for that very brief period, don't overcomplicate this.

Also those links were dead but archives exist, so added those current
  • 01:4601:46, March 31, 2024 diff hist +33 m Tournament:MOAST 3Results thread doesn't list characters, and I see mentions of Arash playing both Puff and Bowser in the thread, but it's not clear which he used in bracket. Given the lack of sources for Arash using solo Bowser, I'm gonna dispute it and add Jigglypuff unless evidence is provided otherwise. current
