VGT 1, also known as Volcano Gaming Tour 1 was a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate regional tournament held in Saint-Leu, Réunion, on March 20th, 2021.
Tournament Summary[edit]
Cpaypay (3rd seed) would win the event through winners side by defeating cvo974 (11th seed), shinytra (18th seed), Mystic (1st seed), and LuXejin (2nd seed).
While LuXejin, placed 2nd, they did so by winning 7 sets through losers side after being upset by shinytra R2. shinytra had one of the more notable runs of the event, also upsetting Bismouth (15th seed) and Luxo (10th seed) enroute to placing 5th.
Bebop (20th seed), would also make a run to 5th by upsetting Luxo and cvo974. Other notable upsets included Pihutte (40th seed) over Dark-Thomy (8th seed) and Sharky (22nd seed) over Grabuge (5th seed).
