West Mexico is a Smash region that consists of the Mexican states Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, and Michoacán. The region borders the Northwest Mexico states Sinaloa, Durango and North Central Mexico to the North; the Central Mexico state Edomex to the east, and the South Mexico state Guerrero to the south.
Historically, West Mexico featured some notable players in Smash 4, like MASTER PUFFY, the best Jigglypuff player in the country, Regi Shikimi, one of the best Mr. Game & Watch players in Mexico, and LeSou, the best Donkey Kong player in the country. However, the region has seen more representation during Ultimate's lifespan, with strong players, including Bernie, the best Link player in the country, Bedgar, formerly considered the best Inkling player in Mexico, Whisky, the best Robin player in North America, and most notably LittN!, the best Incineroar player in the world since the second half of 2024. In tournament activity, the region primarily takes place in Jalisco, specifically Guadalajara, Zapopan and Puerto Vallarta. West Mexico is the home of Posada Gamer, one of the most prestigious tournament series in the region, as well as Ultimajac's special tournaments.
