Overview[edit]
Ganondorf's up smash deals the most damage of any up smash in melee if both hits connect, totaling 39%. This up smash is second strongest up smash in that game at very early percents if both hits connect after Roy's, dealing even more knockback than even Sheik's or Pikachu's up smash. The move's low IASA frame of 40 allows this move to be a good combo tool at low percents while racking up a lot of damage. Additionally, the low end lag makes the move harder to punish than most smash attacks. The second hit is only -3 frames of advantage on shield and has great shield pushback because of the damage, making this move incredibly difficult for the opponent to punish out of shield.
