Ganondorf (SSBM)/Up aerial
Overview[edit]
Ganondorf does a bicycle kick in the air, which notably has a slightly longer duration, and unique knockback hitbox toward the end, while his leg is aimed downwards, over Captain Falcon's up aerial, though it has longer landing lag. The move is a major part of Ganondorf's deadly edgeguarding game, with the mid-and-late hits being low-damage semi-spikes, referred to as the Tipman, which can be used to gimp the opponent. The main part of the move at the front is also a decent horizontal edgeguarder due to its power, though is generally lesser in its edgeguard utility than when facing backwards, and to his forward aerial. The move is also notable for being Ganon's fastest aerial, coming out a frame faster than neutral air, and being interruptible just a frame later than back air. Characters such as Captain Falcon and Mario can get a similar edgeguard utility from their up aerial bicycle kicks when reversed, though it is not nearly as effective or core to their playstyles as Ganondorf's.
