In addition to SmashWiki's Policies, there are a number of guidelines that guide contributions. Unlike policies, they do not serve as rules, but rather as strong suggestions, or principles under which user should operate in order to make SmashWiki the best it can be. Each SmashWiki guideline contains this header:
