Event 40: All-Star Match 4 is the fortieth event match, and the fourth of five All-Star Matches. The All-Star Match gameplay is unchanged; like its predecessors, the player must defeat five different opponents in 4 minutes and with 2 stock. Their damage percentage is carried over between each match.

In this edition, the player fights Marth in Temple (with Fire Emblem alternate music), Luigi in Kingdom II, Jigglypuff in Poké Floats, Mewtwo in Final Destination, and Mr. Game & Watch in Flat Zone. It should be noted that this is the first All-Star Match with unlockable characters.

Trivia

  • During the battle with Jigglypuff, Battle Theme plays, while during the battle with Mewtwo, the song Poké Floats plays.
