All-Star Match 3 is the 30th of the 51 event matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee, and the third of the five All-Star Matches.
The player controls a character of their choice and must win five different stock matches, all within a time limit of 4 minutes, where the player will start with a stock of 2 lives and the opponents each have one. Kirby and Pikachu's artificial intelligence is set at Level 6, Ness's is set at Level 7, and the Ice Climbers' is set at Level 8.
Each battle is a one-on-one match against a character on their respective series' stages. Kirby will be battled on Fountain of Dreams, Pikachu will be battled on Pokémon Stadium, Ness will be battled on Onett, and the Ice Climbers will be battled on Icicle Mountain.
