Event Match 25: Gargantuans is the twenty-fifth event match in Super Smash Bros. Melee. In this match, the player's character is Giant Bowser and the enemy is Giant Donkey Kong on Fourside. The object is to beat Donkey Kong. There are also Tiny Mario and Peach to fight, but won't pose a threat since they will be KO'd quickly. Since the player is big, their recovery distance will decrease. Donkey Kong will sometimes self destruct between the two buildings on the right of the stage.
Trivia
- During the battle, the song from Kongo Jungle plays.
- In a way, this resembles the what-if situation of Godzilla (Bowser) meeting up with King Kong (Donkey Kong) and battling it out. Mario and Peach pose as the frightened citizens of the city.
- Tiny Mario and Peach had their voices removed.
- The player doesn't need to KO tiny Mario and tiny Peach to clear the event.
