RustySanDiegoResident, formerly Overrated, is a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Toon Link player from SoCal. He's probably the worst player in San Diego. He lost to players such as Pyro, always, KALi, joseph, and his own friends. The only notable person he beat was pu55yk1ng, but he played Chrom, so that doesn't count. He used to play Ike, but that character sucks, and he's very washed with him. He's active on Twitter and Instagram. He's an unprofessional player. He's in the Smashwiki discord. He has some playlists you can listen to on Spotify.
In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, he's a casual player because he owns a 3DS and not a Wii U. He was a young boy who played Toon Link because why not. This is the first time he touched a Super Smash Bros. game.
Other than being unprofessional, he was probably one of the greatest smash players and the greatest Ike player in his own high school (the same high school where (No longer FaZe) Rug went to). Unless if someone decides to overthrow the greatest Ike player title. He and his friends led this high school team to the finals for NASEF x CIF Smash Ultimate Varsity Spring 2025 (Playoff Blue), where they unfortunately lost.
I don't even know what he does in college.
In Smashwiki, he's known for creating and contributing to tournaments and smasher pages during prime COVID (2020-2022 run). Also known for contributing through the Wi-Fi Warrior Rank; v6 and v7 in particular. Though he fell off because he focused on school and graduating. He can still appear contributing, but as a rare, to whatever the highest rarity is called in Pokemon.
This person likes the Sonic franchise for some reason.
History
Super Smash Bros. 4
He was a little boy when his sister got Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, which was the first time he had ever heard of this franchise. He sucked at the game and didn't know how to shield or grab.
This changed when he started watching YouTube videos, he became more familiar with playing games, even watching competitve smash for fun. However, he never got the chance to play competitively or own a copy of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. And combined with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate coming, his interest eventually died down, and shifted his focus to Fortnite.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Without owning a Nintendo Switch, he never got the chance to play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It wasn't until he was in his mom's co-worker's house that he saw some people playing the game, and gave it his best. Despite being casual play and haven't touched smash for a few years, he still had prior knowledge and won every game when he was playing. With his interest peaked, he decides to give a second chance, especially when he finally got the console and the game.
During his middle school, he played casually smash with his sister, and despite some fun, he wanted some of the competitive experience. Eventually, he got the chance to play online and main Ike. He had lots of smash/online experience, and even watched more tournaments, especially when the pandemic hit. However, he never got a chance to go to a tournament.
That will soon change in his freshman year at high school, where he attended his first ever tournament. Despite losing to Exodus, a Ken player, he went on a three set loser run before losing to his friend alpha, a Cloud player. He placed 5th out of 17 players.
A very promising performance for his first tournament, he, along with his friend, decides to attend Triton Gaming Expo 2022. After his first set was a win against a DQ, he immediately went 0-2 against KnightSoul in winners and Pyro in losers, placing him in a disappointing 65th out of 122.
Fortunately, in his sophomore year, the smash scene was back yet again with the high school tournaments. In the first tournament, he placed 3rd out of 15, losing to alpha and Trumanlay, a Young Link player. With an improvement from his freshman year, another tournament is coming in his way, where he also attended. In the second tournament, he finally won a set against alpha and made his way to grand finals in winners. Despite landing a spot on the winner's side, he lost two sets against alpha and placed 2nd out of 16.
Despite a promising career, he decides to announce his retirement from Smash, after he shifted his focus to school work for the rest of his sophomore year and the entirety of his junior year.
During his senior year, he once purchased online, since he was a part of the CIF Esports team for his high school, his friend asked him to join the team, to which he reluctantly agreed. Despite not touching the game, he immediately joined the starting roster with his two friends, and eventually reached the finals for NASEF x CIF Smash Ultimate Varsity Spring 2025 (Playoff Blue), where his team unfortunately lost and placed 2nd.
Yet, this regained his interest in competitive smash, and during his freshman year in college, with a tournament upcoming, he and his friend decided to join the tournament after three years of inactivity.
In his first tournament since his inactivity, after a promising two-win set, he faced always and was sent to losers. After winning one set, he faced his friend Slayer, a Kazuya player, where he lost in losers and placed 13th out of 39.
This is where his reign with Ike eventually reached its end. After some friendlies with his friend Slayer, he got tired of losing to his Kazuya and switched to Toon Link. With his new main, he attended a bi-weekly, where he won a set against pu55yk1ng's Chrom. Unfortunately, he lost to KALi and joseph, where he ultimately placed 9th out of 22. he used a bit of Ike, but opted to use more Toon Link.
With more dedication towards his Toon Link, decides to stick with him and continue his run. In VELOCITY II, where he continued his run, eventually losing to a Crispy_bakon in winners and Ramity in losers, placing 9th once more out of 32 attendees.

Block
Dumb person named Howplayz got blocked once, cause he didn't even know what this rule was about. This resulted in him breaking a rule in his own talk page because of how bad he created The Quarantine Series Opening Invitational. So, he got blocked.
