VGT 2023, also known as Volcano Gaming Tour 2023 was a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate regional tournament held in Saint-Leu, Réunion, on May 13th, 2023.
Tournament Summary[edit]
Shirolebg (1st seed) was upset by Skyleurs (8th seed), 2-1, in the Winner's Side of Top 16. Skyleurs would continue their run, by reaching grand finals after upsetting Pihutte (4th seed) 3-2, and Nozar8800 (2nd seed) 3-1.
Meanwhile, Shirolebg would win five sets in losers over, Octavio (6th seed), Dark-Thomy (5th seed), Jokes974 (11th seed), ._. (3rd seed), and Nozar8800, in order to meet Skyleurs in Grand Finals. Shirolebg would win both the runback and the final set of Grand Finals 3-0.
Gardaboom's (seed 35) upset over ._. in pool's constituted the largest upset of the event (upset factor 8).
