Luminosity Gaming (LG) is a professional eSports organization based in Canada. Luminosity Gaming was founded by Steve Maida in 2015, and specializes in teams in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Smite, League of Legends, and many others.

They made their way into the world of the FGC on October 8th, 2016 when they signed Smash 4 player Abadango[1]. Just under two weeks later, they picked up Ice as their first Melee player[2]. However, just over a year later, Ice left the team on October 19th, 2017.[3] Abadango would soon follow, as he left on December 15th, 2017.[4] On February 7th, 2021, Luminosity Gaming signed Melee player Ginger.[5] Luminosity entered Ultimate by signing Maister on October 9th, 2022.[6] Both Tweek and MkLeo were signed on March 23rd, 2023.[7] Big D was signed on May 20th, 2023,[8] followed a day later by the signing of tournament directors Max Ketchum and Toronto Joe, head of series' such as Get On My Level and Let's Make Moves.[9] Luminosity signed content creator and commentator Coney on June 7th, 2023,[10] as well as EE on the 21st of the same month.[11]

On July 17th, 2023, Luminosity Gaming, in collaboration with Metafy, unveiled the LG x Metafy Free Agent Sponsorship. "Top-placing free agents from various Ultimate tournaments will be offered a stipend to help them attend a future major."[12][13] Zomba and ApolloKage were the first recipients of this sponsorship for the tournament Get On My Level 2023.[14][15] Sonix received this sponsorship for the tournament Luminosity Makes Moves Miami.[16]
