JK is a former Smash 4 Bayonetta main from Las Vegas, who was considered one of the best Bayonetta players in the world prior to his initial retirement. He was ranked 1st on the Las Vegas Smash 4 Power Rankings and was formerly ranked 37th on the Panda Global Rankings v4. He has set wins on top players such as Salem, VoiD, Abadango, Marss, ESAM, Manny, Mr E, Zinoto, NAKAT, and kameme.
Although JK does not currently live in Southern California, he frequently participated in Smash events there, such as MSM, WNF, and the 2GGT/2GGC Saga. As such, he was formerly ranked at the 5.5 position on the SoCal Smash 4 Power Rankings for the impact he made while visiting there.
JK was formerly sponsored by Yatta Gaming. He left on November 16th, 2017.
On November 25th, 2017, JK was reported by a large group of fellow smashers, including Charliedaking, S2H, Technicals and others, to have tried to run them over with his vehicle. According to Technicals, they were coming out of a local tournament in Las Vegas when JK invited them to have dinner at a restaurant. After they declined his invitation and went for a walk, JK tried to run them over while they were still in the parking lot, with two of the people barely avoiding him. After this, the group of smashers went to confront JK, who allegedly admitted he tried to hit them on purpose, and that he did not care if he or anyone else died. Due to this series of events, JK was banned from attending most tournaments in Las Vegas until further notice.
On November 26th of the same year, a day after the incident had occurred, JK issued an apology. In this apology, he explains that he suffers from multiple mental illnesses which may have caused him to commit this act. He also states that he is seeking psychiatric help for his mental illnesses.
On November 27th, one day later, Sean Laz, another tournament organizer at Las Vegas tournaments reviewed the situation. After deeming JK's apology insufficient, due to it not truly apologizing to the parties involved in the incident, Sean confirmed JK's indefinite ban from Las Vegas tournaments until he could prove he was mentally rehabilitated. That same day, JK announced that he would be leaving the Smash scene to find his passion. He also stated that once he was rehabilitated, he would return to the scene when the community felt comfortable with him attending tournaments again.
On June 9th, 2018, multiple members of the Las Vegas "Backroom" and many tournament organizers held a meeting to adjudge whether JK was fit to return to Las Vegas tournaments. All parties involved in this meeting unanimously voted to lift the ban inflicted upon JK.
Second ban and death threats
Sometime mid-September 2018, JK was banned a second time by the Las Vegas tournament organizers. The ban was never announced and was kept in private between JK and the tournament organizers, who agreed that another public announcement would further harm his mental well-being. Details of the ban's purpose were not released, but JK agreed on the ban and started focusing on other activities and hobbies.
On November 2nd, JK attended a local tournament, breaking the terms of his ban in the process. He was immediately required to leave and controversy arose within the local community. On November 7th, Navi posted a public service announcement regarding the situation on the Las Vegas Smash 4 Facebook group, while also revealing the private ban and reiterating that JK was permanently banned from Las Vegas tournaments.
Following this, however, JK proceeded to make death threats to some people in Las Vegas's Smash 4 Community. This prompted many smashers to call authorities, who had him arrested the following day. He was subsequently indefinitely removed from the community.
