I know it's very early, but I decided to make a tier list with the characters they currently announced in SSB4. This is purely for fun and it is not very accurate. I will update it when 2 more characters are announced. I want to see your opinions and if there are any mistakes, just tell me. Do not fix it yourselves.

Wii Fit Trainer looks like she's going to be pretty good, lots of fast attacks which don't look shabby in power. It's hard to tell with Bowser and Villager. Toast ltimatum 19:57, 10 August 2013 (EDT)

Alright, I thought about it and I guess WFT in last was kind of a joke thing so I updated it. Wii Fit Trainer has gone up to 11, Mario goes down 2 spots, and Bowser is now last. Terrible is Terrible 13:29, 22 August 2013 (EDT)

For the veterans, I'm just basing it off on how they were in Brawl and their screenshots in SSB4. For the newcomers, I'm mostly just doing a guess. Like I said, I'm just doing this for fun and it's not really serious. Terrible is Terrible 13:36, 22 August 2013 (EDT)

OK, I should've done this a long time ago, but here's the Smash 4 tier list V 2.0! With the addition of 4 returning veterans and 1 newcomer, here it is!

What do you think? This one's much more reasonable since I actually looked at the Brawl tier list as a template for the veterans so there are a lot of changes. Major changes include Link going all the down to last and Samus from 7th to 16th. Oh, and of course Mega Man is still God tier, his moves are completely badass! Here's something you should know before making a tier list; DON'T BASE IT FROM ANOTHER GAME'S TIER LIST. Making a tier list based from one game with a lot of differences than another makes completely no sense and would be terribly inaccurate. Requiem of Ice (talk) 20:41, 19 December 2013 (EST)

Smash 4 (joke) tier list 3.0 is here! 3 more veterans added to the list, and a lot of changes. Next version coming out whenever I feel like a good amount of characters got confirmed.

Thanks to NutsBazooka stating Bowser will be faster and more powerful, Bowser's placement got a little bit higher to 17, and Link got up to 16 because his buffed dair. I think Lucario will get into a high place because the aura concept will be better and that could be a real game changer. Villager got moved up to 2 because a lot of his moves seem really good, and his grab may do well (he may be the next Mr. Game & Watch). Also, Mega Man is still 1 because he's badass like that and Zelda is last because, well, she's Zelda. 70.15.29.127 17:47, 1 February 2014 (EST)

Smash 4 tier list 3.1 because Little Mac. Nothing big, just added Mac and Lucario gained up to 5 because he seems to be buffed a lot for this game. Mac is Average because although his moves are very strong (Heck his neutral special is an OHKO!), but his aerial attacks and recovery looks awful. I don't think that Rosalina should be as high on the tier list as she is. Screenshots say she is very tall and floaty, and some gameplay shows that lots of her moves(especially her bair) are slow. Why has Mario been on the bottom of nearly every list? Sure, there hasn't been anything new or interesting revealed about Mario yet, but I wouldn't count him down for the count. It seems he's going to get some major buffs, and judging by the patterns at which these lists are ordered (buffed characters in Brawl have seen drops, and characters that have always been bad or mediocre are still on the bottom while newcomers and personal favorites/top tiers from Brawl populate the top), most of you have ignored the fact that Sakurai intends to take SSB4 in a new direction rather than "fixing" the previous game (basically, he's not going to just buff bad characters and nerf good ones). blue ninjakoopa 16:13, 8 April 2014 (EDT)

The fish has been confirmed to return. All of these supposed "tier lists" are fraudulent when they do not have the fish alone in the Omega God tier. Omega Tyrant 13:54, 22 April 2014 (EDT)

No word on the Cucco's status (we don't know if it's a regular item or an assist trophy), so on the off chance that it's actually playable, I think the Cucco would surpass The Fish in the Ultra SSS Tier. The Cucco will undoubtedly have a superior aerial game and stronger attacks, and its greatest attribute will be its gimmick similar to Lucario's; the more damage it takes, the more CPU-controlled Cucco's appear (all Level 10), which means you'll be able to do loads of damage with just one attack. blue ninjakoopa 15:45, 22 April 2014 (EDT)
