Mewtwo Strikes! is the 44th event match of the 51 event matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee. The opponents are Zelda and Mewtwo. The match starts off with the player fighting only Zelda. - This event is based on a plot point from the movie Mewtwo Strikes Back. In the film, Mewtwo turned a Nurse Joy into its mind-controlled servant; prior to officially introducing itself, Nurse Joy instead introduced the various characters to Mewtwo's base.
