Elite Four Kanto: Bruno was a Brawl tournament hosted by mikeHAZE in order to increase the number of tournaments in Southern California. The tournament was named after Bruno, an Elite Four trainer of the Indigo Plateau, Kanto and a master of Fighting type Pokémon. It is the second tournament of the biweekly the Elite Four series and the Elite Four Kanto series and the first to have a Marvel vs Capcom 3 event.

Ruleset

  • 3 stocks
  • 8 minute time limit
  • Items are set to "Off" and "None".
  • Friendly Fire is set to ON.
  • Share stock is allowed.
  • All sets are best out of three except for the winner's finals, loser's finals, and grand finals, which are best out of five.
  • Meta Knight's Infinite Dimensional Cape is banned.
  • Players are responsible for their own controllers.
  • Any action that prevents the game from continuing will result in a forfeit of the match for the player that initiated the action.
  • In the event of a tie, percentages and ledge grabs will be used to determine the winner. If the percentage is tied and neither player has exceeded the ledge grab limit, a 2 minute 1 stock game will be played on the same stage with the same characters.
  • Ledge grab limit is set at 30. If a player exits out of the statistics screen when the ledge grab limit is to be used to break a tie, the player will forfeit the match.
  • Going completely under the stage so that the player can go from one side to the other three times or more without landing on the main platform is banned and will result in a forfeit of the game.
  • Infinite chain grabs must end at 300%.
  • Pause cannot be used during tournament play.
  • Players must follow the standard striking procedure.
