DreamHack Denver 2017 was a national tournament that took place from October 20th-22nd, 2017 at the National Western Complex in Denver, Colorado. It is the fifth event in the DreamHack Smash Championship 2017 season, a series spanning events in North America and Sweden and featuring $100,000 in prize money in total.

This was the last Super Smash Bros. for Wii U national tournament ZeRo won before he retired from the game in January 2018 and later entirely retired from Smash events.

Trivia

• Similar to Plup and n0ne accidentally breaking their trophies after winning DreamHack Atlanta 2017 and DreamHack Montreal 2017 respectively, ZeRo and Hungrybox accidentally broke their trophies shortly after winning the tournament.
  • S2J also ended up accidentally breaking his 4th place trophy.
