Overview[edit]
Roy has the strongest up smash in the game at 0%, dealing the most knockback if all hits connect. However, its ability to KO off the top is lackluster compared to the rest of the cast. The move has a decent amount of active frames so it is good for catching opponents trying to get past him. The move has great vertical reach and can consistently hit foes on platforms above him.
One of the starting hitboxes of this up smash is one of the six true spikes in the game, meaning it cannot be meteor canceled. With proper positioning and appropriate DI by the opponent, Roy can use his up smash to spike opponents into the bottom blast zone.
