The '''University of Iowa Smash Championship Series''', or '''UISCS''' is an upcoming series of tournaments in Iowa City, IA hosted by [[SLAPAHO]].  While the name may imply that the tournament is open only to University of Iowa Students, that is not the case.  The tournament is open to any Smashers wanting to compete in what will hopefully be the largest tournament series in the state of Iowa.  While the exact dates are not yet known, it is planned that the first tournament will be held in the beginning of October, and they will run bi-weekly from then on.  It is currently planned that the series will run in both the Fall and the Spring; the Fall will be a singles tournament, the Spring a doubles tournament.

The fourth and final tournament is the championship and is only open to the twenty players who received bidsBids are awarded for placing in the top eight in either of the first tournaments, for winning the "Last Chance" tournament, and through three "sponsors' exemptions."

Qualifying[edit]
