"New Move"

Article lists Charizard as having a "new move that launches him as a fireball sideways". In the video, though, it's VERY similar to "Fly" visually. It's equally viable speculation that it's just an improved version of the ability he already has. It is at least worthy of note. Toymakers Creation (talk) 00:09, 16 April 2014 (EDT)

I agree, I'm not entirely certain that it isn't his Up B (Fly) move that now acts like Fox's wherein you can change the direction. I don't think we should be making the assumption that it's a new move without more concrete evidence.JohnnyWellens SonicHeadSSB4-3.png 11:19, 21 April 2014 (EDT)
It would make sense for them change it in such a manner, what with gliding being cut as a mechanic, it makes sense that they'd buff his horizontal recovery to compensate. Toymakers Creation (talk) 11:14, 24 April 2014 (EDT)

Rock Smash replacing Pkmn change

Isn't that a buff? It's better to have an extra special move on deck.Qwerty da beast Nessytrewq.jpg 12:57, 25 July 2014 (EDT)

Charizard Chat

This is a place where we can chat about Charizard as much as we want. I'll go first! If the gliding mechanic is cut from Pit doesn't that mean that it'll affect Charizard as well? The Smash Brotha (talk) 09:55, 30 July 2014 (EDT)

Yes, Sakurai said gliding was wholey removed, also Talk pages are not for "chatting", that's what forums are for, I suggest you use them instead next time Laikue (talk) 09:58, 30 July 2014 (EDT)
What, can't we all be friends here? It's just a friendly chat. The Smash Brotha (talk) 10:02, 30 July 2014 (EDT)

That's not my point, we can all be friends, but the ssbwiki forums, or smashboards are better places for catting about stuff. Talk Pages are for discussing what's done on the page, not the character itself. Laikue (talk) 10:12, 30 July 2014 (EDT)

SW:IRC is a better place for this kind of chat. Scr7Scr7 sig.png(talk · contribs) 10:16, 30 July 2014 (EDT)

Remove trivia point

The trivia point

"Ike, Lucario, Peach, Charizard, King Dedede, and Diddy Kong were the only returning characters confirmed before E3 2014 to not be playable in any demo version of Super Smash Bros. 4. "

should be removed because of the demo in Japan where all characters except Lucina and the ones not officially revealed were playable, right? - EndGenuity (talk) 22:19, 19 September 2014 (EDT)

Any trivia point that lists 6 characters with a 'unique' property should probably be removed. Qwerty (talk) 23:14, 19 September 2014 (EDT)

Project M influence?

The forward air and up throw both seem to mirror project m, should this be overlooked as unconfirmed speculation or at least be included in trivia.71.119.32.252 20:24, 13 October 2014 (EDT)

I'd say overlooked as speculation; there's no proof of this being the case, so don't add it. Rtzxy Personal use; signature, to be exact Smashing! 20:26, 13 October 2014 (EDT)

Type effectiveness?

Is it still in from Brawl or was it removed? --Menshay (talk) 09:38, 26 October 2014 (EDT)

I'm fairly certain it was removed, although it would be simple enough to test using FLUDD or Greninja's water moves. Miles (talk) 09:55, 26 October 2014 (EDT)
Definitely removed. Tested with Greninja's fully charged shuriken, it did 12% on Charizard and other characters. I did notice a fully charged shuriken only did 2% damage if used immediately in front of a fighter, even though it pushed them back and made them flinch. Roarmoocowz (talk) 10:14, 26 October 2014 (EDT)
Um, as stated on the page, type effectiveness has nothing to do with damage, only knockback. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Rainbow 10:46, 27 October 2014 (EDT)

Gender

I noticed the article refers to Charizard as male in a few places rather than properly using gender-neutral terms (Charizard has no gender differences in the Pokemon games, so there's no way to tell anyway). Could somebody fix this? 65.96.242.22 18:05, 26 October 2014 (EDT)

Charizard Buff

The recent update for Roy, Ryu and Lucas came with some buffs to Charizard. The down throw is horrendous at knockback ( Doesn't kill until 375%+ ) but now can help Zard's combo ability. His up throw is now a reliable K.O move, killing every character at 140% and above reliably ( and kills Jigglypuff at 97% ). 160.3.149.53 19:14, 14 June 2015 (EDT)

Can you provide a comparison to either of the last two updates, preferably via video footage? Nyargleblargle (Talk) 19:15, 14 June 2015 (EDT)
Alas I cannot, but aside from my own word from training on For Glory and Versus Mode, there are people on the Smash Board who also affirm the claim of Charizard's kill power ( though not the specific percentages). http://smashboards.com/threads/smash-4-ver-1-08-patch-thread.406196/
