Omni (also known as InfernoOmni) is an American smasher from Maryland who mains Fox in Melee, and formerly Sheik, Meta Knight in Brawl and Mario in Smash 4. Originally a member of Team Arlington, Omni joined local crew Team Ben since then, and was known as one of the most active members while he was on the team. He made his debut to the Smash scene at MLG DC 2005, where he allegedly stepped on Ken's fingers in an effort to support an evil conspiracy plot (which was actually making Ken lose the event, though he ended up winning). He has been a part of the MD/VA Smash scene since then.
He practiced with fellow smashers PXTalon and RickR, slowly learning what it takes to compete in advance play, and then moved up to harder opponents such as Aho, Fonz, and NEO around the same time he was introduced to Team Arlington. Omni joined TA on late 2005 where he found his skill level increasing dramatically, with many high level players to compete with. By the time of March 2007, he began pulling down some serious wins as he attended his first national tournament on Cataclysm 3, placing 9th out of 112 participants.
Omni graduated from the University of Maryland, and now works in real estate, as well as being one of the most known Smash YouTubers. He's mostly known as a troll on the Smash community, often making joking posts about why Smash games like Smash 4 would die competitively as well as mocking aspects of the competitive community. He has a talk section called "Lay It Omni", on which he often expresses his genuine opinion on certain aspects of the Smash community as a whole. This has garnered him quite a large fanbase, at more than 55,000 suscribers on YouTube.
Omni is considered to have a very unique Fox in Melee, which utilizes mindgames alongside solid tech, catching players off-guard. Additionally, he is known for his exceptional performances in crew battles, taking 10 stocks on two different occasions. In Brawl, Omni mains Meta Knight, and is considered to be one of the best Meta Knight players in MD/VA. He is also known for the creation of the Omnigay, which is a technique that allows Meta Knight and Kirby to KO opponents at any percent with Snake's C4 by sticking the Meta Knight/Kirby with C4, then having the Meta Knight/Kirby use up throw. The up throw takes both the opponent and Meta Knight/Kirby over the upper blast line, but the latter two will not be KO'd if they have a higher port number than the opponent.
