Rocket Jump (ロケットジャンプ, Rokettojanpu) is one of Palutena's alternate up special moves in Super Smash Bros. 4

Overview

When using this move, Palutena launches herself upward while creating an explosion beneath her. The amount of height she gains is low, but the explosion caused knocks back any opponents nearby.

Origin

Rocket Jump is a movement power that Pit or a fighter can equip in Kid Icarus: Uprising. Using this move allows the user to propel themselves upwards while damaging any surrounding foes. These traits from Uprising carry over into the Super Smash Bros. series.
