Forums: Index Proposals Splitting the "List of voice actors" page into different sections
Proposed.png This discussion is in regards to a proposed change on SmashWiki. The discussion must first meet with a consensus before it is implemented.

I've noticed that on the discussion for this page that two separate times the idea to split the voice actors into different sections is brought up, first with "Suggestion" and second in "splitting", even though both discussions ended with agreement (or at least not a total shut down of the idea) on changing the page they haven't been acted on. Since the page looks very unorganized, splitting would make it look better as shown in this example (credit to User:Pratikmii03 for making this below, which i edited)

  1. This sounds decent, but there is someone that always edits that page and he made a Japanese spam message on TheJacketedTerrapin’s talk page. 174.55.24.64 02:45, June 9, 2022 (EDT)
  2. Support. That page looks very unorganized as-is, and this split would definitely help. Awesomelink234, the Super Cool 🦊Furry🦊 Gamer (talk) 12:24, June 10, 2022 (EDT)

Maybe it's just me, but I don't find the page to be wholly unorganized? Ultimate itself collects the cast into one giant list, and while I recognize that we as a wiki are not strictly tied to what the games do, the fact that this series has been localized into several different languages and credits all of the voice actors collectively instead of by language might be worth something, in my opinion. Though, on the other hand, I know for a fact that Sonic games (and probably other franchises that I'm unaware of) split up voice casts by language in the credits, but that may either be because of a much smaller cast (of both voice actors and characters) or because of some other reason that I can't think of.

This isn't necessarily said in opposition towards this proposal (why else would it be in the comments), but I'm not inclined to fully support it either. I could see some potential for cleanup, though. Aidan, the Nonbinary Rurouni 14:14, June 10, 2022 (EDT)
