Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome, editors and users, to the Smash Arena! Each week this forum hosts a tussle between two characters from the Super Smash Bros. series! The winner gets, well, nothing. It's more of a poll but functionally, this is a popularity contest. You may vote for your favorite or who you think would win in an competition between the two combatants that round. No, you don't have to vote for the character with strength & power, just vote if you are a total fanboy of the character. So what are you waiting for? Get voting! Remember, you can remain anonymous! If you have any requests for future fights, please feel free to leave a message here.

The Rules

1. When voting, you can give a brief comment on why you voted the way you did, or you can just leave your signature.
2. You can only vote once. Any multiple votes will be removed.
3. Put a # before your vote to facilitate the vote counting.
4. Type ~~~~ after your vote to sign it, whether you are logged in or not.
5. There is a line in each section consisting of "DO NOT ADD COMMENTS OR EDIT ANYTHING BELOW THIS LINE". You are to do so; do not just type your vote at the bottom of the editing window. Not following this rule results in your vote being displayed in the wrong place.
6. Put your vote below other votes; that is, so the votes are in chronological order.
7. Any comments about the fight should be left in the comment section. It is recommended that you do not post argumentative, accusative, or any sort of comment with the intention of starting an argument with someone on the opposing side. The Smash Arena is a popularity contest, there's no need to argue with the other side on why your choice is superior, or why they are wrong with their reasoning for picking their choice.
8. You may only vote in the current fight; all previous fights are closed.
9. Do not leave a space between your comment and the ones above it (and/or below it).
10. Do not put your vote in the Half-Votes section. It is not where anonymous users vote, nor is it acceptable to want your vote to be worth half. It is basically saying "I want to be punished", and you will be treated accordingly.

If your vote is not added correctly - that is, it breaks rules 3, 4, or 5 - you have one hour to fix it. After this time, it may be moved by any user to the Half-Votes section (adding the unsigned template if necessary), and it will count as half a vote. Attempting to move your vote out of the Half-Votes section may result in it being worth zero at an operator's discretion. In addition, if your votes-to-rulebreaks ratio climbs too high, your votes may count for zero until the ratio drops to an acceptable level.

Round 67: Ridley vs. Rayquaza

Two pretty large dragon-shaped creatures are this round's subjects. While one is considered "legendary" and can make the weather shut up, the other is apparently immune to death and will keep on your tail even when the planet blows up. Which of these two will come out on top?
Votes for Ridley I´m sorry but my favorite games are Metroid and I know for personal experience how badass he is in the Metroid games (altough in SSBB is much more weak). I love Pokemon and Rayquaza, but rayquaza, the 5th strongest pokemon out of over 600, got defeated by a monkey. I think that Ridley is epic, well, he came back to life! Unlike nearly every other villain, Ridley has a deep, personal conflict with Samus that is not related at all to "stopping his plans" or "interfering with his orders". As a result, he keeps being resurected and reborn, each time with the same malice he feels towards Samus. This is relfected in SSE. Rayquaza simply does not have this kind of background, and thus is a much less developed character (if having any developement at all, considerering its series). Ridley is clearly better then some other dragon thing that could easily be killed with a solid Ice type attack. 68.174.12.142 22:52, 2 January 2011 (EST) Three reasons: First, because I've just been playing Metroid: Other M, and I'm in a Samus mood, Secondly, in SSE, you're forced to vs Rayquaza with Diddy or Fox, which are both easily among my worst characters, and lastly, the insane amount of times that Ridley tries to come back to kill you (Ridley in about 5 metroid games, Meta Ridley in Metroid Prime, and Omega Ridley in Metroid Prime 3). Also, he's purple, and purple is my favourite colour. And I never really liked the Gen III pokemon, amd Dragon/Flying is an overused type combination anyway. And Rayquaza's ability is kinda useless. Comments This feels like another one-sided vote. It hasn't even been an hour into the battle yet and Rayquaza has 6 votes, while Ridley has 0. Round 66: Kat & Ana vs. Latias & Latios

A pair of a pair of assisters, both sweeping across the screen in a cross pattern, each never appearing without their twin. Is it the Pokémon or the swordsgirls that take this battle?
