Event Match 44: Mewtwo Strikes! is one of the 51 event matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee. The opponents are both Zelda and Mewtwo. The match starts off with the player fighting Zelda, and she can be attacked without penalty. After fifteen seconds, Mewtwo appears and teams with Zelda to fight the player, and KOing it results in success. However, if Zelda is KO'd at any time, the match ends in failure.
During the battle, the music of Poké Floats plays.
