Starmie (Japanese: スターミー, Sutāmī) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise.

Creature description

Starmie, as the evolved form of Staryu, is a larger and more complex starfish-like creature with purple flesh, a larger jewel in its core, and two five-pointed "layers" to itself. Starmie is able to attack other Pokémon through its red jewel. Starmie can also release water from the top point on its head, and use love powers.

In Super Smash Bros.

As of now, Starmie has made only one appearance in the series.

As a Poké Ball Pokémon

Starmie appears in Super Smash Bros. out of Poké Balls. Its attack is similar to the attack of Staryu in SSBM. It will fly around the screen to find another character to shoot at. Once it stops moving and targets a character, Starmie will start to use Swift. Starmie will not move once it starts using Swift. Any character that makes contact with Swift will take damage. Any character can also take damage if they touch Starmie while it's using Swift attack. Starmie's attack does not harm the summoner.
