A clone character is a common inclusion in both the Super Smash Bros. series and other fighting games as well. It describes two or more characters that have nearly identical movesets with slight variations in the attacks. From the developer's perspective, a given character's model can be used as a base template from which to build another, and it is usually evident which one is the "original" and which is the clone.

Luigification

Luigification is a term named after Luigi. It is when a character shares relatively few moves of another, while not having a totally unique moveset. Luigi and Mario are examples of this. So are Ness and Lucas.

Possible Luigified characters in Brawl

  • Ganondorf (of Captain Falcon)
  • Lucas (of Ness)
  • Falco (of Fox). Other than his special moves and Final Smash, several of his other attacks have been varied from Fox.
  • Wolf (of Fox) (See entry under "clones")
  • Luigi could be considered Luigified, although, with the addition of a unique Final Smash and Mario's new Down Special, they have very few remaining similarities.
