* Starter stages were [[Battlefield]], [[Final Destination]], and [[Smashville]]. Standard stage striking was used.
* Counterpick stages were [[Castle Siege]], [[Delfino Plaza]], {{b|Duck Hunt|stage}}, [[Halberd]], [[Kongo Jungle]], [[Town and City]], and all [[Ω form]]s. The winner could ban 2 stages, but [[Dave's Stupid Rule]] was not used.
** Final Destination and all Ω forms were banned together.
