Hi there. My smasher tag is Gold, my wiki name is Smashgold347238, and I edit a lot of pages. I started with Super Smash Bros. Brawl and really wanted to know as much about the game as possible, so I came over here. Since then, I've jumped to the original game, to Super Smash Bros. Melee, and finally to forwiiu, maining Cloud. I used to play Melee more frequently, but over the ~2 years that I've played it, I recently found it increasingly boring and monotonous, with basically 8-12 characters up for selection depending on who you ask (only one of which, Captain Falcon, that I can use, but not consistently win with) and always the same group of players winning majors. I also prefer to preserve my hands and not retire at 22. You may find me lurking in the Smash on Tap Smash 4 brackets at Even Matchup Gaming's Challonge page. If you see GoldML anywhere on Twitch, that's me (but I don't stream).

I've had varying thoughts of each game and how they all play differently. I suppose that, starting from Brawl and Smash 64 (to a lesser extent), I was more interested in the slower pace that both games had because the approach was more methodical than execution-heavy. It certainly had me against Melee for a while, but I eased into it after seeing a couple of matches and wanting to get better with my own setup at home. After spending nearly two years of playing Melee, however, I find myself averse to destroying my hands practicing an obselete character (Captain Falcon), and trying to do that for better characters would simply eat up too much of my time. Thus, in a twist of fate, my mentality for which game to play reverted back to the slower style of Smash Bros. games, and my passion to get better was then redirected to Smash 4, where I found a new character in Cloud to use; with the gameplay differences in Smash 4, I can apply my knowledge better without struggling to move my character.

Hi there. My smasher tag is Gold, my wiki name is Smashgold347238, and I edit a lot of pages where I feel it is needed (which may or may not actually be needed, so I apologize in advance).

I started with Super Smash Bros. Brawl and really wanted to know as much about the game as possible, so I came over here. Since then, I've tried out every single Smash Bros. game, even Brawl-. I've mostly played Captain Falcon throughout every game, but I now primarily play Smash 4, where I main Cloud and keep a bunch of secondaries for fun.

You may find me lurking in the Smash on Tap Smash 4 brackets at Even Matchup Gaming's Challonge page. If you see GoldML anywhere on Twitch, that's me (but I don't stream).
