Slippy's Invention (スリッピーの新兵器, Slippy's new combat device) is the 23rd event match of the 51 event matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee.
The player is faced against Fox and Falco on the Venom stage, but Fox and Falco are both equipped with a permanent Cloaking Device, said to be invented by Slippy, Star Fox's mechanic. As a result, they are more difficult to see. Although they are invisible, Fox and Falco can still be damaged, like in Invisible Melee. The stock icons for Fox and Falco appear darkened to indicate their invisibility.
At the beginning of the match, Slippy says, "How's the cloaking device I invented?" The communication with Slippy begins shortly after the announcer says "Go!"
